• - (void)alertViewCancel:(UIAlertView *)alertView is not called

    - by Sean
    Hi all I've got the problem that the UIAlertViewDelegate method - (void)alertViewCancel:(UIAlertView *)alertView is not called when I cancel a AlertView with it's cancel button. Weird is that the delegate method - (void)alertView:(UIAlertView *)alertView clickedButtonAtIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex works perfectly. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance Sean

  • Not all named parameters have been set Nhibernate?

    - by user144842
    I got a problem whenever I pass char ":" from the user interface. NHibernate mistakes it as a named parameter and throws an error, since there isn't any value for it. Exception is :- Not all named parameters have been set: [%] [SELECT COUNT (*) FROM Test2 t WHERE t.FirstName LIKE ':%' AND t.LocationUID IN (38, 20)]"

  • Rails AtomFeedBuilder Entry :Url option appears in url tag but not in link tag

    - by Nick
    Hello, I'm using the AtomFeedHelper and everything is working fine except for one feed where I need to link each entry to a URL which is not the default polymorphic_url for the record. Per the documentation I've specified an :url option for the entry. This correctly renders a
tag in the atom node but the <link rel="alternate" still points to the default polymorphic_url. Looking at the source and the documentation I don't understand why this is happening. Here's an example builder: atom_feed do |feed| feed.title("Reports") feed.updated(@reports.first.created_at) for report in @reports content = report.notes feed.entry(report) do |entry| entry.title(report.title) entry.content(content, :type => 'html') entry.url("http://myhost/page/") entry.updated(report.updated_at.strftime("%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%SZ")) entry.author do |author| author.name(report.user.username) end end end end Here's an example of a problem node:

Test Title

Test Content

I wan the href value in the link tag to match the value in the url tag but it does not. When I look at the source listed for entry here http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActionView/Helpers/AtomFeedHelper/AtomFeedBuilder.html I'd assume that this line would work correctly: @xml.link(:rel => 'alternate', :type => 'text/html', :href => options[:url] || @view.polymorphic_url(record)) Confused. Has anyone encountered this before? Thanks all!

  • Custom Control Not Playing Nice With PropertyGrid

    - by lumberjack4
    I have a class that is implementing a custom ToolStripItem. Everything seems to work great until I try to add the item to a ContextMenuStrip at design time. If I try to add my custom control straight from the ContextMenuStrip the PropertyGrid freezes up and will not let me modify my Checked or Text properties. But if I go into the ContextMenuStrip PropertyGrid and add my custom control through the Items(...) property, I can modify the custom control just fine within that dialog. I'm not sure if I'm missing an attribute somewhere of if its a problem with the underlying code. Here is a copy of the CustomToolStripItem class. As you can see, its a very simple class. [ToolStripItemDesignerAvailability(ToolStripItemDesignerAvailability.ContextMenuStrip)] public class CustomToolStripItem : ToolStripControlHost { #region Public Properties [Description("Gets or sets a value indicating whether the object is in the checked state")] [ReadOnly(false)] public bool Checked { get { return checkBox.Checked; } set { checkBox.Checked = value; } } [Description("Gets or sets the object's text")] [ReadOnly(false)] public override string Text { get { return checkBox.Text; } set { checkBox.Text = value; } } #endregion Public Properties #region Public Events public event EventHandler CheckedChanged; #endregion Public Events #region Constructors public CustomToolStripItem() : base(new FlowLayoutPanel()) { // Setup the FlowLayoutPanel. controlPanel = (FlowLayoutPanel)base.Control; controlPanel.BackColor = Color.Transparent; // Add the child controls. checkBox.AutoSize = true; controlPanel.Controls.Add(checkBox); ContextMenuStrip strip = new ContextMenuStrip(); } #endregion Constructors #region Protected Methods protected override void OnSubscribeControlEvents(Control control) { base.OnSubscribeControlEvents(control); checkBox.CheckedChanged += new EventHandler(CheckChanged); } protected override void OnUnsubscribeControlEvents(Control control) { base.OnUnsubscribeControlEvents(control); checkBox.CheckedChanged -= new EventHandler(CheckChanged); } #endregion Protected Methods #region Private Methods private void CheckChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { // Throw the CustomToolStripItem's CheckedChanged event EventHandler handler = CheckedChanged; if (handler != null) { handler(sender, e); } } #endregion Private Methods #region Private Fields private FlowLayoutPanel controlPanel; private CheckBox checkBox = new CheckBox(); #endregion Private Fields }

Assuming this works, what will I have to do at deployment to ensure the app will run on other machines with MSMQ installed?

  • Ruby on Rails has_one Model Not Supplying ID Column

    - by Metric Scantlings
    I have a legacy rails (version 1.2.3) app which runs without issue on a number of servers (not to mention my local environment). Deployed to its newest server, though, and I now get ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid: Mysql::Error: #23000Column 'video_id' cannot be null errors. Below are the models/relationships, simplified: class Video < ActiveRecord::Base has_one(:user, :dependent => :destroy) end class User < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to(:video) end And below is a rails console transcript of the relationships failing: >> video = Video.create(:title => 'New Video') => #<Video:0xb6d5e31c>... >> video.id => 5 >> video.user = User.create(:name => 'Tester') ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid: Mysql::Error: #23000Column 'video_id' cannot be null: INSERT INTO users (`name`, `video_id`) VALUES('Tester', NULL) from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/abstract_adapter.rb:128:in `log' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/mysql_adapter.rb:243:in `execute' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/mysql_adapter.rb:253:in `insert' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/base.rb:1811:in `create_without_callbacks' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/callbacks.rb:254:in `create_without_timestamps' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/timestamp.rb:39:in `create' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/base.rb:1789:in `create_or_update_without_callbacks' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/callbacks.rb:242:in `create_or_update' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/base.rb:1545:in `save_without_validation' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/validations.rb:752:in `save_without_transactions' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/transactions.rb:129:in `save' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/abstract/database_statements.rb:59:in `transaction' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/transactions.rb:95:in `transaction' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/transactions.rb:121:in `transaction' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/transactions.rb:129:in `save' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.3/lib/active_record/base.rb:451:in `create' from (irb):3 from :0 Has anyone else come across ActiveRecord not sending an ID when it clearly knows it?

  • WPF: Binding to ObservableCollection in ControlTemplate is not updated

    - by Julian Lettner
    I created a ControlTemplate for my custom control MyControl. MyControl derives from System.Windows.Controls.Control and defines the following property public ObservableCollection<MyControl> Children{ get; protected set; }. To display the nested child controls I am using an ItemsControl (StackPanel) which is surrounded by a GroupBox. If there are no child controls, I want to hide the GroupBox. Everything works fine on application startup: The group box and child controls are shown if the Children property initially contained at least one element. In the other case it is hidden. The problem starts when the user adds a child control to an empty collection. The GroupBox's visibility is still collapsed. The same problem occurs when the last child control is removed from the collection. The GroupBox is still visible. Another symptom is that the HideEmptyEnumerationConverter converter does not get called. Adding/removing child controls to non empty collections works as expected. Whats wrong with the following binding? Obviously it works once but does not get updated, although the collection I am binding to is of type ObservableCollection. <Common:HideEmptyEnumerationConverter x:Key="hideEmptyEnumerationConverter"/> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type MyControl}"> <GroupBox Header="Children" Visibility="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource TemplatedParent}, Path=Children, Converter={StaticResource hideEmptyEnumerationConverter}}"> <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{TemplateBinding Children}"/> </GroupBox> </ControlTemplate> . [ValueConversion(typeof (IEnumerable), typeof (Visibility))] public class HideEmptyEnumerationConverter : IValueConverter { #region IValueConverter Members public object Convert(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, CultureInfo culture) { int itemCount = ((IEnumerable) value).Cast().Count(); return itemCount == 0 ? Visibility.Collapsed : Visibility.Visible; } public object ConvertBack(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, CultureInfo culture) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } #endregion } Another, more general question: How do you guys debug bindings? Found this (http://bea.stollnitz.com/blog/?p=52) but still I find it very hard to do. I am glad for any help or suggestion.

  • jQuery Ajax (beforeSend and complete) working properly on FireFox but not on IE8 and Chrome

    - by Farhan Zia
    I am using jQuery ajax version 1.4.1 in my MVC application (though the issue I am discussing was same with the old jQuery version 3.2.1) as well, to check during customer registration if the username is already registered. As the user clicks on the "Check Availibility" button, I am showing a busy image in place of the check button (actually hiding the check button and showing the image) while checking the availibility on the server and then displaying a message. It is a Sync call (async: false) and I used beforeSend: and complete: to show and hide the busy image and the check button. This thing is working well on Firefox but in IE 8 and Chrome, neither the busy image appear nor the check button hides rather the check button remained pressed as the whole thing has hanged. The available and not available messages appear correctly though. Below is the code: HTML in a User Control (ascx): (i have replaced the angular braces with square below) [div id="available"]This Username is Available [div id="not_available"]This Username is not available [input id="txtUsername" name="txtUsername" type="text" size="50" /]  [button id="check" name="check" type="button"]Check Availability[/button] [img id="busy" src="/Content/Images/busy.gif" /] On the top of this user control, I am linking an external javascript file that has the following code: $(document).ready(function() { $('img#busy').hide(); $('div#available').hide(); $('div#not_available').hide(); $("button#check").click(function() { var available = checkUsername($("input#txtUsername").val()); if (available == "1") { $("div#available").show(); $("div#not_available").hide(); } else { $("div#available").hide(); $("div#not_available").show(); } }); }); function checkUsername(username) { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "/SomeController/SomeAction", data: { "id": username }, timeout: 3000, async: false, beforeSend: function() { $("button#check").hide(); $("img#busy").show(); }, complete: function() { $("button#check").show(); $("img#busy").hide(); }, cache: false, success: function(result) { return result; }, error: function(error) { $("img#busy").hide(); $("button#check").show(); alert("Some problems have occured. Please try again later: " + error); } }); }
