    I have a file whose size is about 300mb i want to read the contents line by line and then add it into arraylist. So i have made an object of array list a1 , then reading the file using bufferedreader , after that when i add the lines from file into arraylist it gives an error Exception in thread "main" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space. Please tell me what should be the solution for this.

    How can I find the dimensions of a matrix in Python. Len(A) returns only one variable. Edit: Hi Thanks. close = dataobj.get_data(timestamps, symbols, closefield) Is (I assume) generating a matrix of integers (less likely strings). I need to find the size of that matrix, so I can run some tests without having to iterate through all of the elements. As far as the data type goes, I assume it's an array of arrays (or list of lists).

I'm using this query method and sorting by lastpost_cl: $query="SELECT * FROM properties ORDER BY lastpost_cl"; $result=mysql_query($query); $num = mysql_num_rows ($result); mysql_close(); and I was thinking the way of checking the time would be: if (time() <= strtotime($lastpost_cl)) { } How can I combine the two and only show lastpost_cl that are older that the current time?

    I am using S3 to store images and I am resizing and compressing images before it gets uploaded using PHP. I'm using this class for storing the images to an S3 bucket - http://undesigned.org.za/2007/10/22/amazon-s3-php-class This all works fine if I'm not doing any file processing before the file is uploaded because it reads the file upload from the $_FILES array. The problem is I am resizing and compressing the image before storing to the S3 bucket. So I'm no longer able to read from the $_FILES array.     I would like to have a quick script listing all active hosts in a LAN, and I am a bit lost. From other posts I figured that this can be done most effectively by polling the DHCP server (in my case a Lancom router) using SNMP. However, I am not familiar with the SNMP commands in PHP. Is snmpwalk() the correct function? Can I get snmpwalk() or any other php function to return an array that contains a list of all live hosts?

    I have a app, that is used in the fanpage, so basically I am showing up the user request/invite form, after submission which refers to my server and I get friends ids(from $_POST) and info about user who sent invite, to get user info I am using $user = $this->_facebook->api_client->users_getLoggedInUser(); $dataToRetrive = array(....); $usersInfo = $this->_facebook->api_client->users_getInfo($user,$dataToRetrive); and then I redirect to fan page again in FF it is working fine but OPera and Chrome it is loosing the session.
