  • Is there a pretty print for PHP?

    I'm fixing some PHP scripts and I'm missing ruby's pretty printer. i.e. require 'pp' arr = {:one => 1} pp arr will output {:one = 1}. This even works with fairly complex objects and makes digging into an unknown script much easier. Is there some way to duplicate this functionality in PHP?

It creates the file my_file.txt in home dir. However I can only manage -rw------- 1 me www-data 16 2009-10-11 19:35 my_file.txt How do I add 'r' permissions for www-data group ?

    Hi, i just finish some MYSQL to excel script with xlwt and I need to colour every second row for easy reading. I have tried this: row = easyxf('pattern: pattern solid, fore_colour blue') for i in range(0,10,2): ws0.row(i).set_style(row) Alone this colouring is fine, but when when I write my data rows are again white.     I need to be able to merge two (very simple) JavaScript objects at runtime. For example I'd like to: var obj1 = { food: 'pizza', car: 'ford' } var obj2 = { animal: 'dog' } obj1.merge(obj2); //obj1 now has three properties: food, car, and animal Does anyone have a script for this or know of a built in way to do this? I do not need recursion, and I do not need to merge functions, just methods on flat objects.

    It seems that I have more trouble getting standard Unix things to run on Snow Leopard than any other platform--including Windows cygwin For the past couple of days, I've been trying to get ImageMagick to run on Snow Leopard. So now I'm two steps away from ImageMagick, trying to get a newer libiconv on my machine. I downloaded the latest libiconv, compiled and built it. I put the resulting library in /opt/local/lib, and I still get the same error message: tppllc-Mac-Pro:.libs swirsky$ sudo mv libiconv.2.dylib /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib tppllc-Mac-Pro:.libs swirsky$ convert dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib Referenced from: /opt/local/lib/libfontconfig.1.dylib Reason: Incompatible library version: libfontconfig.1.dylib requires version 8.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 7.0.0 Trace/BPT trap Now here's something interesting. The error message shows it's looking in /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib. otools -L shows that this does implement 8.0.0: tppllc-Mac-Pro:.libs swirsky$ otool -L /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib: /usr/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib (compatibility version 8.0.0, current version 8.0.0) /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 125.0.0) tppllc-Mac-Pro:.libs swirsky$ And, for good measure, I set the DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH to make sure this directory is the one for dynamic libraries. So even though I do have a library that provides 8.0.0, it's being seen as 7.0.0! Any ideas why this would happen? So here's my question: Is it possible to get ImageMagick to run on OSX Snow Leopard? Are there any binary distributions that have static libraries baked in so I don't have to worry about these issue/

  • Ruby in DOS CLI, How to do?

    I see in a lot of the tutorials and how to pages, they use the following, or something similar ruby C:\test.rb Which would parse test.rb to the interpreter and ... execute the script. But how is this done a on a windows? Ruby isn't a recognized internal command (as per the DOS output)? I know how to do all these things on Linux, and its as simple as... alas Windows is completely confusing at times :)

  • Testing site performance with multiple browsers and versions

    We're trying to document the performance difference of our site using different browsers. We use LoadRunner for load testing but I don't see a way to specify the "browser engine" it uses to run it's tests (perhaps it's using it's own?). In any event I'm not sure that LoadRunner is the right tool for this job but we own it so if we can use it, great. If not, is there another tool out there that I can use to record a script and run it automatically against a site using several different browsers?

My setup.py is like this: sys.argv.append('py2exe') setup( options = {'py2exe': {'bundle_files': 1}}, windows = [{'script': "SoundLog.py"}], zipfile = None, ) After creating the .exe I have to put the packages in the same folder as the .exe file. How can I include them in the .exe? Thanks in advance!

  • Did IE8 lose the document.frames collection?

    Hey all.. I noticed that an application I am maintaining was giving me a javascript error in IE8 and FF. The script was trying to get a collection of frame elements: document.frames This always returned 'undefined'. I placed a watch on the document object and noticed that this collection does not seem to be a member of the document object in IE8. I think this was always the case in FF but this same code works in older versions of IE. Has this been removed? -Nick

But here is what i need to do I want to be able to call a dos prompt inside visual studio, which must be interactive. That way i won't be outside visual studio and can run all my dos commands in it. Is it possible? Or can i extend the command window and capture the commands which are typed and process them using my custom code? Thanks

Due to security requirements, neither server is supposed to have network shares set up or extraneous software installed. What's available: Administrator access to both machines (including remote desktop access if that helps).     I need to ensure that the input value contains at least one dot, so i use the following: <asp:RegularExpressionValidator runat="server" ControlToValidate="MyInput" Text="*" ErrorMessage="must contain at least one dot" ValidationExpression="\.+" /> And that doesn't work. By inspecting the page source i can see that ASP.NET escapes the backslash character so in java-script it looks like "\\.+". Why does it do so and how do i prevent RegularExpressionValidator from escaping it?

    Most of my users have email addresses associated with their profile in /etc/passwd. They are always in the 5th field, which I can grab, but they appear at different places within a comma-separated list in the 5th field. Can somebody give me a regex to grab just the email address (delimeted by commas) from a line in this file? (I will be using grep and sed from a bash script) Sample lines from file: user1:x:1147:5005:User One,Department,,,[email protected]:/home/directory:/bin/bash user2:x:1148:5002:User Two,Department2,[email protected],:/home/directory:/bin/bash

  • doctype syntax error

    Do you see any problem with this: I'm in ASP.net and I'm using pikachoose jquery slideshow. It works fine in IE and was working in Firefox. However, somehow it's now stopped working in firefox and firebug is giving the doctype line above out as a syntax error and $ is not defined for the jquery script? Any ideas Thanks Andy
