• Print html document from Windows Service without print dialog

  I am using a windows service and i want to print a .html page when the service will start. I am using this code and it's printing well. • ScrollView alawys scrolling to the bottom

  I defined a scrollview with a texteedit in my layout: <ScrollView android:fillViewport="true" android:layout_marginBottom="50dip" android:id="@+id/start_scroller" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:fadingEdge="none"> <TextView android:id="@+id/text" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" > </TextView> </ScrollView> I add text to this ScrollView with the following method: public void writeToLogView(String textMsg) { if (text.getText().equals("")) { text.append(textMsg); } else { text.append("\n" + textMsg); scroller.scrollBy(0, 1000000); } } As you can see i append the text and try to scroll to the bottom of the ScrollView. Unfortunately this doesn't worked correctly. It scrolls down, but not always, and not always to the bottom. Any hints?

• Adding JPanel onto another JPanel after button click

  I'm using Netbeans IDE to make a gui application. I have a JFrame with a JPanel inside it. After a button click I want to display a different JPanel inside the first. The other JPanel is in a different file. How would I go about doing this? If this is not practical I don't mind replacing the first JPanel with the second one. • C# can I lock a method parameter?

  We have a class variable ArrayList binaryScanData in a class. In all methods having access to it, we put lock(binaryScanData) on it because it is shared. Now we want to move one of those methods out to another util class to make it a static method. We will pass that binaryScanData into the method like this: public static void convertAndSaveRawData(ref MemoryStream output, ref ArrayList binaryScanData) Our questions are followed: how can we sychoronize that binaryScanData? can we do the same as it is originally? ref is necessary? It will only be read in that convertAndSaveRawData method.

  Hi all, In my application I have this requirement that first tap on custom cell of uitableview with a label in it should expand it and second should contract it. I'm able to expand and contract cell and expand label inside cell, but not able to contract the label on second tap. I'm using this function - (void)setSelected:(BOOL)selected animated:(BOOL)animated { [super setSelected:selected animated:animated]; if( selected == YES ) { [self expandRow]; } else { [self contractRow]; } height = [lblFeed frame].size.height + 75; } expandRow expands the label and contractRow contracts it. I'm perplexed as for how many rows this function gets called. It doesn't get called only for the cell tapped, it gets called more number of times for single tap on single cell may be for other cells but I'm not getting which rows. This' really urgent. Can anybody please help?

  Im trying to filter rows based on a column say c1 that contains boolean values. I want to show only rows that have 'true' in c1. I looked up the examples in http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html#sorting. The example uses a regex filter. Is there any way I can use boolean values to filter rows?   sendBroadcast() - Should it be called inside Activity? I am trying to call sendBroadcast() from my method of utility-class which doesn't extend Activity.   I'm using Jongo with Play framework 2, java. I added some data into my MongoDB. {"_id" : ObjectId("538dafffbf6b562617252178"), ... } However, when I fetched the ObjectId from the database, it gave me like: de.undercouch.bson4jackson.types.ObjectId@484431ff instead of 538dafffbf6b562617252178. I don't quite understand how can I get the ObjectId value.   Hello, Sometimes, when using Java reflection or some special storing operation into Object, you end up with unchecked warnings. I got used to it and when I can't do anything about it, I document why one call is unchecked and why it should be considered as safe. But, for the first time, I've got an error about a unchecked call. This function : public <K,V extends SomeClass & SomeOtherClass<K>> void doSomethingWithSomeMap (Map<K,V> map, V data); I thought that calling it this way : Map someMap = ...; SomeClass someData = ...; doSomethingWithSomeMap(someMap, someData); would give me an unchecked call warning. Jikes does a warning, but javac gives me an error : Error: doSomethingWithSomeMap(java.util.Map,V) in SomeClass cannot be applied to (java.util.Map,SomeClass) Any way to force it to compile with a warning? The program works fine until I attempt to add another case statement, at which point it gives me the following three errors: "jump to case label" (error occurs at the line of the newly added case), and two "crosses initialization of 'ClassName *objectName'"(errors occur when the new objects are created in case 2). • How to determine whether a dependency object implements a given dependency property (C# / WPF)

  I am working with the classes in the System.Windows.Documents namespace, trying to write some generic code that will conditionally set the value of certain dependency properties, depending on whether these properties exist on a given class. For example, the following method assigns an arbitrary value to the Padding property of the passed FrameworkContentElement: void SetElementPadding(FrameworkContentElement element) { element.SetValue(Block.PaddingProperty, new Thickness(155d)); } However, not all concrete implementations of FrameworkContentElement have a Padding property (Paragraph does but Span does not) so I would expect the property assignment to succeed for types that implement this property and to be silently ignored for types that do not. But it seems that the above property assignment succeeds for instances of all derivatives of FrameworkContentElement, regardless of whether they implement the Padding property. I make this assumption because I have always been able to read back the assigned value. I assume there is some flaw in the way I am assigning property values. What should I do to ensure that a given dependency property assignment is ignored by classes that do not implement that property? Many thanks for your advice. Tim

  Is it possible to access the DisplayNameAttributes that are used on my ViewData.Model so I can Localize them before sending them to the view? • MVC2: Best Way to Intercept ViewRequest and Alter ActionResult

  I'm building an ASP.NET MVC2 Web Application that requires some sophisticated authentication and business logic that cannot be achieved using the out of the box forms authentication. I'm new to MVC so bear with me... My plan was to mark all restricted View methods with one or more custom attributes (that contain additional data). The controller would then override the OnActionExecuting method to intercept requests, analyze the target view's attributes, and do a variety of different things, including re-routing the user to different places. I have the interception and attribute analysis working, but the redirection is not working as expected. I have tried setting the ActionExecutingContext.Result to null and even have tried spooling up controllers via reflection and invoking their action methods. No dice. I was able to achieve it this way... protected override void OnActionExecuting(ActionExecutingContext filterContext) { filterContext.HttpContext.Response.Redirect("/MyView", false); base.OnActionExecuting(filterContext); } This seems like a hack, and there has to be a better way...
