• windows 7 start menu showing incorrect data

  Hi, I've tried to rebuild my search index but it does not seem to help. When i search for anything even command I either get an empty list or a list of short cuts with the names Programs Documents Files ... They all have the default white paper icon. If I click on them I get an error message that says Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened. Any ideas? thanks

I've read a bit into hooks and understand that this is likely a hook but it seems like it's not default functionality included with Subversion.   Once a user downloads a video created with the iPhone 3GS and then deletes it from the iPhone, that video cannot be uploaded back to the iPhone...according to Apple. The videos are not treated as Photos and are not allowed to sync to and from the iPhone freely. Has anyone discovered a program or tweek that allows one to upload video to the iPhone? Thanks.

I am looking for similar functionality for switching between monitors. Win+P is not good enough, as it loops between four choices: Computer | Duplicate | Extend | Projector, and I want to toggle only between two monitors. It also takes at least four key strokes to toggle.

  I have a VPN set up on a Symantec Gateway 320 and the status of the VPN is connected but the feature it provides is not working which means it is not actually connected..The only way to test it other than trying to use it in the program that utilizes it is to ping the remote subnet IP we use. mask numbers match, no settings have been changed it just stopped working.

  I have set the "when firefox starts" and "home page" values, but when I reboot the computer (or more accurately, when I restart the computer as it has been crashing frequently of late), those values get reset to some default value which I don't want. If I close Firefox then reopen, the correct values appear. How I do store the values over reboots? The values are when firefox starts: show a blank page home page: about:blank I'm still using Windows XP so there's no problem about directory permissions.

Now I have read that some people have fixed the color loss problem by setting a color printer as their default. But that does not seem to be working for me nor would it fix the font.   for sensitive data, would it be better to have a somewhat long, but memorable password (and hence not totally random) or use a program like keepass to make a super long, random password with the highest possible entropy, and then just write down the password on a piece of paper kept in ones pocket. If that bang on the door comes, then swallow the paper. Which is a better security practice? I'm not in any way a criminal, i just am curious about topics concerning security. Thanks.

  If I were to log in to - let's say - Gmail.com (which uses HTTPS by default), can my login and password be intercepted if I'm on an unencrypted wireless network? And if I still have the login cookie from a previous session so that I don't have to reenter my login and password, can third parties get access to my account?
