When creating a flex Chart, the list of colors is always the same, something like (orange, green, blue, ... ) I imagine that the Flex Charts use any array of default colors, Is there a way to get this array ?
The name "view model" suggests that it models the data for the view. That much is obvious. What else can or should go in the view model?
As an example, a view might display a list of items in a shopping cart, fields for customer's credit card info, and fields for customer's billing information. The view model might contain properties for all that OR it might only contain properties for the shopping cart items.
I have a two way foreign relation similar to the following
class Parent(models.Model):
name = models.CharField(max_length=255)
favoritechild = models.ForeignKey("Child", blank=True, null=True)
class Child(models.Model):
name = models.CharField(max_length=255)
myparent = models.ForeignKey(Parent)
How do I restrict the choices for Parent.favoritechild to only children whose parent is itself? I tried
class Parent(models.Model):
name = models.CharField(max_length=255)
favoritechild = models.ForeignKey("Child", blank=True, null=True, limit_choices_to = {"myparent": "self"})
but that causes the admin interface to not list any children.
I have an array called $times. It is a list of small numbers (15,14,11,9,3,2). These will be user submitted and are supposed to be minutes. As PHP time works on seconds, I would like to multiply each element of my array by 60.
I've been playing around with array_walk and array_map but I can't get those working :S
Thanks.
This shows how to have a static variable inside an object or context:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg04764.html
But the scope is too large for some needs, is it possible to have a static variable inside an object function ?
Im new to testing with cucumber and have a question regarding the size of a 'Feature'.
Assume you can add a collection of items to a list and do the usual CRUD , is it preferred to create one feature for this complete set of CRUD actions or a feature for each?
What is the preferred/accepted method ?
At what point does an action become a feature itself ?
I have a huge set of .vcproj files (~200) stored in different locations. I have a list of these files with full paths.
How can i automatically add them to the solution file(.sln) ?
UPD: I'm looking for existing tool/method.
I am building a webservice using jax-rs and querying a DB2 z/OS database with SQLJ and getting the result set as an arraylist. I would like to return this list as XML, but not sure how to do it.
Does anyone have an example of returning a result set as XML and is using an Arraylist the best way to do this?
Should I use JAXB? if so how?
I have a function that returns a tuple that, among others, contains a float value. Usually I use assertAlmostEquals to compare those, but this does not work with tuples. Also, the tuple contains other data-types as well. Currently I am asserting every element of the tuple individually, but that gets too much for a list of such tuples. Is there any good way to write assertions for such cases?
Hi all
I am very much used to .NET and java collection libraries and searching for a similar library in C. I am in need of following
A list data structure for storing generic objects.
and also a Dictionary data structure for key value pairs.
Please let me know if any library exists. Thanks.
Is there a possibility to create any python object that will be not sortable? So that will be an exception when trying to sort a list of that objects?
I created a very simple class, didn't define any comparison methods, but still instances of this class are comparable and thus sortable. Maybe, my class inherits comparison methods from somewhere. But I don't want this behaviour.
I'm trying to select a list of test dlls that contain corresponding config files
MyTest.Tests.dll
MyTest.Tests.config
I have to use a createItem as the dlls are not available at the time of the script loading
<CreateItem Include="$(AssemblyFolder)\*.Tests.dll"
Condition="???"
<Output TaskParameter="Include" ItemName="TestBinariesWithConfig"/>
</CreateItem>
Is there a condition I can use or is this the wrong approach?
Thanks

I can't seem to get either EmptyDataTemplate or EmptyDataText of a GridView to work.
I'm fetching the GridView contents in de codebehind and attaching them with using DataBind(). I've tried having them as null and as an empty List, and in both cases the text I put into EmptyDataTemplate or EmptyDataText is not displayed.
What am I doing wrong?
Take this method
public List<String> getGroups() {
if (this.getId().equals("")) return null;
}
I would like to throw exception instead returning null, what's the exception to throw when an important parameter/dependency has not been set?
I have this strange behavior. Im Loading some entities in a List< and append to a grid.
When double click the grid i take the row cast to the entity and append to a property.
I have changed some things in my database and code and now i get this exception while i never wanted to check something on this Entity Reference.
Any Ideas?
When I create a thread I save it handle in a list.
After a time I want to check which of them still exists.
I'm not looking for other kind of implementation, I want to know if is there some how to get a thread by it handle ?
I came across this code today whilst reading Accelerated GWT (Gupta) - page 151.
public static void getListOfBooks(String category, BookStore bookStore) {
serviceInstance.getBooks(category, bookStore.new BookListUpdaterCallback());
}
public static void storeOrder(List books, String userName, BookStore bookStore) {
serviceInstance.storeOrder(books, userName, bookStore.new StoreOrderCallback());
}
What are those new operators doing there? I've never seen such syntax, can anyone explain?
So I don't consider myself a novice at MySQL but this one has me stumped:
I have a message board and I want to pull a list of all the most recent posts grouped by the Thread ID.
Here's the table:
MB_Posts
-ID
-Thread_ID
-Created_On (timestamp)
-Creator_User (user_id)
-Subject
-Contents
-Edited (timestamp)
-Reported
I've tried many different things to keep it simple but I would like help from the community on this one.
Just to kick this out there...this one does not work as expected:
SELECT * FROM MB_Posts GROUP BY Thread_ID ORDER BY ID DESC
I'm trying to create an image rotator class that cycles through an arbitrary number of images in an unordered list. Is it possible to define a recursive function within a class declaration? E.g:
var Rotator = Class.create() {
initialize: function() {
do something...
this.rotate();
}
rotate: function() {
do something...
this.rotate()
}
}
By default, when you apply changes to a Bugzilla entry, the web interface advances to the next bug in your list.
I would like to disable this feature since it is almost never what I desire, planning to make further updates later. Further, I often update the wrong bug subsequently due to its changing the current bug without my noticing.
How do I configure Bugzilla to not advance like this?
In the document for the method notifyDataSetChanged of class BaseAdapter noted that "Notifies the attached observers that the underlying data has been changed and any View reflecting the data set should refresh itself. "
Supposed I changed the 3rd element in my string array (array data for the listview), what "any View reflecting the data set should refresh itself" means ? Does the 3rd view item in my list view be notified ?
Also, how is notifyDataSetChanged() and getView() concerned ?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
I have a ComboBox with a list of objects bound to it.
Currently i have the items templated so they show only the property Class.Name. so the ComboBox is full of Class.Name
However i am required to give the user the option to display the property Class.Description instead. If it were just that easy i would be fine, but they want the option to switch back and forth between them at runtime.
Any ideas?
How can I implement cancelation of editing an object using MVVM.
For example: I have a list of customers. I choose one customer an click the button "Edit", a dialog window(DataContext is binded to CustomerViewModel) opens and I start editing customer's fields. And then I decide to cancel editing, but the fields of the customer have been already changed, so how can I return a customer to its previous state in MVVM?
