• how to recover deleted ntfs patition with data entirely while installing ubuntu 13.04

  I've installed ubuntu 13.04 onto my hp 2231tx computer. During installation all of my data was erased. I didn't know all of my three partitions would be deleted. I was shocked after finding out that all of my personal data was erased. I didn't know what to do to resolve this problem so I search google for an answer. I found a program called testdisk and I used it to recover about half of my data. Among this data weren't my personal photos and videos. Is there a way to recover the other half?

  installing crashes at halfway of 'copying files' showing an i\o device error error no5; there was problem in beginning of installation too, ubuntu was not detecting the installed windows 8. my system is a dell inspiron 5520 laptop ,with 1 tb WDC hard disk in GPT ,with EFI . my current partition is like 102 mb EFI SYSTEM partition 200 gb Windows 8 ntfs 22 gb root Ext4 8 gb swap 20 db home Ext4 680 gb ntfs Drive for storing all my files. i tried both dvd disc and usb drive, both resulted in same error. inbuild dell hardware diagnosis utility showed both hard disk and dvd drive as healthy what may be the reason and how can i install ubuntu along side my windows 8?

• Outlook 2010 Reminder Notification/OneNote Draw Bugs

  Can Outlook 2010 send me reminder alarms when the program is closed? If not, is there an add-on for this? Also, I use OneNote to take class notes, and sometimes, I will use the draw feature. When I close the program and come back to the notebook later, the drawings will shift and be scrambled, making my notes impossible to read and a huge hassle to fix. Has MS released an update other than (KB2288640), 32-Bit Edition to fix this?

• Windows media player rating stars disabled/greyed out

  I'm unable to rate any of my songs using WMP. I've been rating songs on WMP for some time. But suddenly, I can't rate/ change my ratings. I cant do it using the normal 5 star rating control at top of playlist Or using Right click song - Rate - 5 star But I'm able to rate using Windows Explorer "bottom properties pane" that comes on clicking on a file I'm unable to rate using WMP. The ratings don't even change color (gold/grey) on mouse hover. Please give me a solution without losing my existing rating

Building a “real” extension for Expression Blend Timmy Kokke's code is WPF, but the subject is near and dear to us all, Timmy has a real-world Expression Blend extension up... a search for controls in the Objects and Timelines pane ... and even if that doesn't interest you... it's the source to a Blend extension! XPath support in Silverlight 4 + XPathPad Tim Greenfield not only talks about XPath in SL4RC, but he has produced a tool, XPathPad, and provided the source... if you've used XPath, you either are a higher thinker than me(not a big stretch), or you need this :) Using a Service Locator to Work with MessageBoxes in an MVVM Application Josh Smith posted about a question that comes up a lot: showing a messagebox from a ViewModel object. Faster Databinding in WPF and Silverlight using OptimizedObservableCollection Simon Guindon is a blogger I've not been following, but this post on an OptimizedObservableCollection caught my eye.
