  • Xcode compile error: Can't find an (old) file I used to have

  • how can I get 32-bit program to run on 64-bit Ubuntu?

    Sorry to be asking this, but I have read quite a few posts and articles a lot of places wrt the issue I am having, to no avail. I am trying to get a Second Life Viewer (Firestorm) to run, and just keep getting the '64-bit error message' it throws. I have installed every 32-lib I can find, still doesn't work. I think I am surely missing some setting somewhere, or running Firestorm from the wrong place, or something, but I have no idea what. FWIW, Firestorm loads but doesn't behave right in the 32-bit version, either. I have actually tried several linux distros, 32 and 64-bit. Mint 32-bit runs it straight off, and Mint 64-bit throws the '64-bit error'. openSUSE, any version, won't run it at all. Oh, and all the other SL viewers I have tried behave the same way. I am beginning to wonder if my set-up just doesn't like linux. Here is my system info: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz (2661 MHz) Memory: 4026 MB OS Version: Linux 3.2.0-29-generic-pae #46-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 27 17:25:43 UTC 2012 i686 Graphics Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.     Hi all, I did developed a custom SharePoint Web Service . It is working fine when using http. But when we configure SSL(https) , it is not working and throwing the below error. Request for the permission of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Security.SharePointPermission, Microsoft.SharePoint.Security, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bcee11233hj' failed. Does anyone came accross a similar situation or any ideas on why this is happening? Thanks Carol

    I'm studying TDD and I read that it also helps you to define the design of the app, correct? So I decided to start creating a new project to help me understand it better. I want to create a simple user registration system that will ask for its name, email address, country (will pick one from a list) and phone number. So the question is... I created a new solution in VS 2010, added a new Test project and I just don't know what tests to write! Since it will help me define the design, what tests could I write here? Thanks for any help!

  • Changing IP every sec with Firefox

    I looking for ip changer what is faster than PROXY (i tried Elite Proxy Switcher + Firefox add-on, but it's too slow. I set automatic switching to 4 sec and yes he change the ip every 4 sec however it's not enough because it loads pages very slowly.) Secondly I tried the TOR Project but this is not good..because the TOR would be nice and working good however he needs more than 10 seconds, a new identity and it's not to good for me because i want to change my ip lass than 10 sec. So I find the solution. This is IPfucker alias ipFlood (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox.../ipflood/) But it does not work on all sites unfortunately...because this is just simulation "Simulate the use of a series of proxy changing at each new connection.". Anyone knows a solution to the problem? Is there an alternative (VPS, Proxy, TOR)? Thanks in advice.

  • Weird Outlook Behavior; Creating its own file folder

    Outlook is doing a very strange thing. It has created a folder on its own (which, whenever I completely delete, comes back, with a different name). Mail that goes into this folder will not go to any other folder unless I forward it. If I move the email or create a rule to always move mail from particular senders to the Inbox, it moves for a while, but then goes back into the created folder. The first one was called "junk" but it was in addition to my normal junk email folder. When I forwarded all the messages (some were junk, but most were not) and totally deleted that folder, a new one, called "unwanted" appeared that acted the same way. It seems that once one email goes into this folder, then any email from that person also goes into the folder. I have discussed this with the tech person at work. There is no evidence of virus or any other identifiable reason for this to happen. We have searched the Internet and not found anything like this either.

    Imagine you live in very simplified example land - and imagine that you've got a table of people in your MySQL database: create table person ( person_id int, name text ) select * from person; +-------------------------------+ | person_id | name | +-------------------------------+ | 1 | Alice | | 2 | Bob | | 3 | Carol | +-------------------------------+ and these people need to collaborate/work together, so you've got a link table which links one person record to another: create table person__person ( person__person_id int, person_id int, other_person_id int ) This setup means that links between people are uni-directional - i.e. Alice can link to Bob, without Bob linking to Alice and, even worse, Alice can link to Bob and Bob can link to Alice at the same time, in two separate link records. As these links represent working relationships, in the real world they're all two-way mutual relationships. The following are all possible in this setup: select * from person__person; +---------------------+-----------+--------------------+ | person__person_id | person_id | other_person_id | +---------------------+-----------+--------------------+ | 1 | 1 | 2 | | 2 | 2 | 1 | | 3 | 2 | 2 | | 4 | 3 | 1 | +---------------------+-----------+--------------------+ For example, with person__person_id = 4 above, when you view Carol's (person_id = 3) profile, you should see a relationship with Alice (person_id = 1) and when you view Alice's profile, you should see a relationship with Carol, even though the link goes the other way. I realize that I can do union and distinct queries and whatnot to present the relationships as mutual in the UI, but is there a better way? I've got a feeling that there is a better way, one where this issue would neatly melt away by setting up the database properly, but I can't see it. Anyone got a better idea?

    I am trying to integrated my IOS 7 application with Facebook SDK I following this official tutorial https://developers.facebook.com/docs/ios/getting-started which states Configure the .plist Follow these three steps: Create a key called FacebookAppID with a string value, and add the app ID there. Create a key called FacebookDisplayName with a string value, and add the Display Name you configured in the App Dashboard. Create an array key called URL types with a single array sub-item called URL Schemes. Give this a single item with your app ID prefixed with fb. This is used to ensure the application will receive the callback URL of the web-based OAuth flow. The finished .plist should look something like this: My question is where to put these values? They already put this image, maybe it helps you to answer me Edit The problem that I don't have any plist file in my framework in xcode and I can't add a new one because if i did, I would have to add all the variables that you see in the image but the tutorial just stated about some of them

  • iPhone SDK: How to detect a row-hit while in the editing mode?

    I've looked everywhere and I can't find it. I have a UITableView that contain rows of "checkmark" cells. The user clicks on a row to check/uncheck it. (It works!!!!) But I also want to allow the user to EDIT the data on that row. ... so I have an "EDIT" button at the top. The user hits it and is allowed to DELETE any rows. (That works too!!!!) But how do I also detect a "tap" on that row. Where is there some kind of a didSelectRowAtIndexPathWhileInEditMode ???? (Is that really the best way to do this: Allow "selections", and "deletions", and "editing" of each row?)

    Comparable contract specifies that e.compareTo(null) must throw NullPointerException. From the API: Note that null is not an instance of any class, and e.compareTo(null) should throw a NullPointerException even though e.equals(null) returns false. On the other hand, Comparator API mentions nothing about what needs to happen when comparing null. Consider the following attempt of a generic method that takes a Comparable, and return a Comparator for it that puts null as the minimum element. static <T extends Comparable<? super T>> Comparator<T> nullComparableComparator() { return new Comparator<T>() { @Override public int compare(T el1, T el2) { return el1 == null ? -1 : el2 == null ? +1 : el1.compareTo(el2); } }; } This allows us to do the following: List<Integer> numbers = new ArrayList<Integer>( Arrays.asList(3, 2, 1, null, null, 0) ); Comparator<Integer> numbersComp = nullComparableComparator(); Collections.sort(numbers, numbersComp); System.out.println(numbers); // "[null, null, 0, 1, 2, 3]" List<String> names = new ArrayList<String>( Arrays.asList("Bob", null, "Alice", "Carol") ); Comparator<String> namesComp = nullComparableComparator(); Collections.sort(names, namesComp); System.out.println(names); // "[null, Alice, Bob, Carol]" So the questions are: Is this an acceptable use of a Comparator, or is it violating an unwritten rule regarding comparing null and throwing NullPointerException?   • How to get all rows but specifc columns from a DataTable?

    Currently i am having some problems with getting some data out of a DataTable by selecting all rows, but only some columns. To be a little more descriptive here is a little example: Sample Data | ID | FirstName | LastName | Age | +----+-----------+----------+-----+ | 1 | Alice | Wannabe | 22 | | 2 | Bob | Consumer | 27 | | 3 | Carol | Detector | 25 | What i have So what we got from our GUI is a IEnumerable<DataColumn> selectedColumns and there we'll find two elements (FirstName and LastName). Now i need some result which contains all rows, but only the above two columns (or any other list of selected columns). So far i already used LINQ on several one dimensional objects, but this two dimensional object gives me a little headache. // The hard-coded way Table.AsEnumerable().Select(row => new { FirstName = row[1], LastName = row[2] }); // The flexible way Table.AsEnumerable().Select(row => row ???) But how can i now say, which columns from row should be selected by using my selectedColumns?

    I want to execute a SQL query inside PL/SQL and populate the results into an associative array, where one of the columns in the SQL becomes the key in the associative array. For example, say I have a table Person with columns PERSON_ID INTEGER PRIMARY KEY PERSON_NAME VARCHAR2(50) ...and values like: PERSON_ID | PERSON_NAME ------------------------ 6 | Alice 15 | Bob 1234 | Carol I want to bulk collect this table into a TABLE OF VARCHAR2(50) INDEX BY INTEGER such that the key 6 in this associative array has the value Alice and so on. Can this be done in PL/SQL? If so, how?

  • How to generate a user role grid

    I have the following tables: users (id, username, ... ) roles (id, name) roles_users (user_id, role_id) I am wondering how I can create a nice sort of user-role-grid from that which an admin can use to administer roles to users in a clear way. What I would like is basically a table full of checkboxes sort of like this: Login Editor Admin Alice ¦ ¦ ¦ Bob ¦ ? ? Carol ¦ ¦ ? [Apply] Generating the table isn't too much of a deal, but I am very unsure how to handle it when it comes to how to name all the checkboxes and especially how to read and update the database in a not too clumsy way. Does anyone have any good advice or pointers on how to do this in a mostly clean way? I'm using the Kohana 3 framework, if there is anything there that can make this even easier, but I of course welcome any answer.

Now we’re back with a tips and tricks roundup; read on to see how your fellow readers stay focused at home. By far and away the most common technique deployed as carefully isolating work from home life. Carol writes: I love working from home and have done so for 6 years now. I have a routine just as if I was going to an office, except my commute is 12 steps. I get ready for work, grab my purse and smart phone and go to up the steps to my office. I maintain a separate phone line and voice mail for work that I cannot answer from anywhere but my work desk. I use call forwarding when I travel so only my office phone number is published. I have VOIP phone service so I can forward calls from the internet if I forget, or need to change where the phone is forwarded. I do have a wired and wireless head set so I can go get a cold drink if on one of those long boring conference calls. I plan my ‘get off from work’ time and try to stick to it, as with any job some days I am late getting off, but it all works out. I make sure my office is for work only, any other computer play time is in a different part of the house on different computer. My office has laptop, dock, couple of monitors, multipurpose printer, fax, scanner, file cabinets – just like the office at a company. I just also happen to have a couple of golden retrievers that come to work with me and usually lay quietly until 5, and yes they know it is 5pm sometimes before I do. For me, one of the biggest concerns when working from home is not being unproductive, but the danger of never stopping work. You could keep going and going because let’s face it – the company will let you do it, so I set myself up to prevent that and maintain a separateness.
