• OBIEE version 11.1.1.7.131017 has been released

  The Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.7.131017 patch set has been released, and is available to download from My Oracle Support (https:\\support.oracle.com). Per the patch readme: This patch set is available for all customers who are using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.7.0 and 11.1.1.7.1. It is also available for Exalytics customers who have applied the Exalytics PS3 patch. • Java update alert: issue with EAS 11.1.2.3

  (in via Nancy) Customers using EPM 11.1.2.3 and a web browser to launch the Essbase Administration Services Console will lose the ability to launch EAS Console via the Web URL if they apply Java 1.7 build 45. Development is currently investigating this issue. Workaround: If Java 1.7 Update 45 has been installed, it will need to be uninstalled and a previous version will need to be installed. Older versions of Java are available in the Java Archive Note: Though it may work, Java 1.7 is not supported in previous versions of EAS. Customers running a version of EAS Console prior to 11.1.2.3 need to install the supported version of JRE. Follow this in the Community

• New MOS Community: Oracle Endeca Information Discovery

  Effective November 22, the Oracle Endeca Community has been split into separate communities representing individual Oracle Endeca products. The Oracle Endeca Information Discovery Community will fall under the Business Intelligence (BI) category, and can be found here: https://communities.oracle.com/portal/server.pt/community/oracle_endeca_information_discovery/551. This community will focus on the Oracle Endeca Information Discovery (OEID) product, formerly known as Endeca Latitude and Endeca Discovery Framework. The previous Oracle Endeca Community has been renamed to Oracle Endeca Guided Search Community and will focus on discussions around the Oracle Endeca Guided Search product, formerly known as Endeca Infront and Endeca IAP. The Guided Search Community will continue to be located under the Oracle Commerce Category. Forum threads in the previous Oracle Endeca Community related to Oracle Endeca Information Discovery product have been moved to the new Oracle Endeca Information Discovery Community. After July 2013, Sustaining Support will continue to be provided in accordance with Oracle's Lifetime Support Policy. Customers must follow a supported upgrade path.If your deployment is at EPM System release 11.1.1.4- Your supported upgrade path is directly to release 11.1.2.2.If your deployment is at EPM System Release 11.1.1.3 release- Your supported upgrade path is directly to release 11.1.2.2.If your deployment is at a prior 11.1.1.3 release- The recommended path is to upgrade to release 11.1.1.3. • Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) version 4.30

  posted by Maurice Bauhahn Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) version 4.30 was released on December 11th A free download can be accessed via Knowledge Management article 314422.1 and installed in any Enterprise Performance Management 11.1.2.x environment. EPM-specific instructions are available in Knowledge Management article 1304885.1. This RDA version incorporates two new modules (EAS=Essbase Administration Services; HWA=Hyperion Web Analysis) and improvements in modules and profiles relating to twelve other Hyperion applications (EPM, EPMA, ESS, FCM, HFM, HFR, HIR, HPL, HPSV, HSS, PR, and HSV). To follow best practice, run related RDA profiles [for example: "perl rda.pl -vnSCRPp Hyperion1112_EAS"] and attach the output zip file [by default in \rda\output\] to your service requests. The comprehensive set of details provided in such output files should help technicians to avoid delays in handling service requests (by avoiding ping-pong communications resulting from repeated requests for additional values).
