  • Uploading to another domain gives HTTP code 405

    I'm trying to upload a file (which can be quite large) from the website of one server to the backend of another server using plupload. Lets say: domain 1 = http://www.websitedomain.com/uploadform domain 2 = http://www.backenddomain.com/uploadhandler Trying to upload i send the following: OPTIONS /main/uploadnetwork.php HTTP/1.1 Host: backenddomain.com Connection: keep-alive Access-Control-Request-Method: POST Origin: http://www.websitedomain.com User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/22.0.1229.79 Safari/537.4 Access-Control-Request-Headers: origin, content-type Accept: */* Referer: http://www.websitedomain.com/uploadform Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate,sdch Accept-Language: nl-NL,nl;q=0.8,en-US;q=0.6,en;q=0.4 Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.3 DNT: 1 But when I try to start the upload the server returns the following: HTTP/1.1 405 Method Not Allowed Allow: GET, HEAD, OPTIONS, TRACE Content-Type: text/html Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET X-Powered-By-Plesk: PleskWin Date: Mon, 01 Oct 2012 12:41:57 GMT Content-Length: 999 After doing some research I found out that a browser does this to check if the server will accept the intended message. It looks like my server doesn't feel like accepting a simple POST call even tho i use post all the time. The Google Chrome console gives the following error: XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://www.backenddomain.com/uploadhandler. Origin http://www.websitedomain.com is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. Does anyone know how to stop the browser from checking or how i can tell my server to just accept the POST?

How can I hide my secret key? If this parameter is passed a value of null, the constructor looks for a special session secret stored in the fb_sig_ss property of the loaderInfo object. For example: http://somesite.com?passes=dodgy+parameter # BAD http://anothersite.com?passes=a+good+parameter # GOOD My system can make a binary decision about whether or not a URL is good or bad - but ideally I would like it to predict whether or not a previously unseen URL is good or bad. http://some-new-site.com?passes=a+really+dodgy+parameter # BAD I feel the need for a support vector machine (SVM) ... but I need to learn machine learning. Some questions: 1) Is an SVM appropriate for this task? 2) Can I train it with the raw URLs? - without explicitly specifying 'features' 3) How many URLs will I need for it to be good at predictions? 4) What kind of SVM kernel should I use? 5) After I train it, how do I keep it up to date? 6) How do I test unseen URLs again the SVM to decide whether it's good or bad?     I'm currently in the process of programming an utility which generates GA tracking pixel (utm.gif) URL:s based on given parameters. For those of you who are wondering why I'm doing this on the server side, I need to do this server side since the context which I'm going to start tracking simply doesn't support JavaScript and as such ga.js is completely useless to me. I have managed to get it working otherwise quite nicely but I've hit a snag: I can't track events or custom variables because I have no idea how exactly the utme parameter's value should be structured to form a valid event or var type hit. GA's own documentation on this parameter isn't exactly that great, either. I've tried everything from Googling without finding anything (which I find ironic) to reverse engineering ga.js, unfortunately it's minified and quite unreadable because of that. The "mobile" version of GA didn't help either since officially GA mobile doesn't support events nor vars. To summarize, what is the format of the utme parameter for page hit types event and custom variable?

I am able to pass one parameter by implementing the ITransformableFilterValues interface in the custom webpart , what I want to do is pass more than one parameter . Ex: If there are 2 parameters on report then i should able to map each from the control in webpart. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

    I've always seem to work around this lack of knowledge but I thought I would ask the community. I hope this question will make sense. In XCode, when I call a function that has several parameter the intellisense pops up. When I hit TAB the first time, it takes me directly to the first parameter. How do I get to the next parameter easily. If I hit TAB again, it puts an actual TAB in the line. For the last month I've been using arrow keys but I figured there must be a keyboard shortcut.

I have defined a resource with methods for the GET with several response formats like @Get("xml") @Get("json") I now want to test my defined response-formats with my browser, but I don't know which parameter I have to specify in my URL to get the format. Something like: http://localhost:8182/members?type=xml I've tried some param-names, but I couldn't find the right param-name. I know that there must be such a parameter, because I've seen it already in an URL, but i forgot the name and couldn't find it in the net. How is the name of this parameter when using restlet?     I have a Powershell script that reads values off of the pipeline: PARAM ( [Parameter(ValueFromPipeline = $true)] $s ) PROCESS { echo "* $s" } Works just fine: PS my.ps1 foo * foo I would like the script to have list of default values, as the most common usage will always use the same values and storing them in the default will be most convenient. I did the usual assignment: PARAM ( [Parameter(ValueFromPipeline = $true)] $s = 'bar' ) PROCESS { echo "* $s" } Again, works just fine: PS my.ps1 * bar PS my.ps1 foo * foo However when setting the default to be a list, I get back something entirely reasonable but not at all what I want: PARAM ( [Parameter(ValueFromPipeline = $true)] $s = @('bar', 'bat', 'boy') ) PROCESS { echo "* $s" } Result: PS my.ps1 * bar bat boy I expected: PS my.ps1 * bar * bat * boy How can I get one call in to the Process loop for each default value?     I need to create a report in Crystal 2008 and I've haven't developed a report using Crystal in many years. When the user runs the report, I want them to be able to enter a start date and end date. I assume I can do this by using parameters. My question is this. Can I do this with a single parameter value or will it require two parameter values? Ideally what I would like to do is to allow the user to enter a start and end date in one parameter/prompt combination. Is this possible? Thanks - Randy

    I'm running this query in LINQ: var unalloc = db.slot_sp_getUnallocatedJobs("Repair", RadComboBox1.SelectedValue, 20); It runs when I first open the page, but when I go back to it and try to run the same query with a different value, "Con", being passed through, the linq to sql designer.cs tells me that I've got a timeout error. Any ideas?     Normally in OpenRasta there is some configuration like this: ResourceSpace.Has.ResourcesOfType<Customers>() .AtUri("/customers/region/{region}") ... // and so on ... where the {region} part of the path is automatically mapped to a string parameter in the handling method. So if the user hits: http://server/customers/region/emea Then the handler method is passed the string "emea". As well as doing this, I'd like to register a handler with something like this: ResourceSpace.Has.ResourcesOfType<Customers>() .AtUri("/someotherthing/*") ... // and so on In this imaginary syntax, the asterisk would mean "take the rest of the path, including slashes, to be a single string parameter to pass to the handling method". And so if the user hits: http://server/someotherthing/how/about/this?that=other Then my handler method receives a string parameter: how/about/this?that=other Is such a thing possible in OpenRasta? In Sinatra (Ruby) I'd use a regular expression to do exactly this.

    I see that with SQL Server 2005 you can pass a parameter as numeric e.g. create procedure dbo.TestSP @Param1 numeric as But what does this equate to? E.g. Numeric(10,0), Numeric(9,2), etc? We have some Developers here who are using this instead of the correct definition for the field that this parameter is going to be used against e.g. instead of using Numeric(10, 0) for the parameter @Param1. Also are there any underlying performance issues with using Numeric instead of the data type defined against the field in the table? Many thanks.
