  • Add/remove validation rules Dynamically

    - by eddy
    Hi, I need to dynamically add validation rules to a text box when the user clicks on the checkbox in that row and remove it when the user unchecks it. This is what I did, and it works fine, but I'm not sure if it is the right way to do it. Here's my html code: <tbody> <c:forEach items="${list}" var="item"> <tr> <td align="center"> <input type="checkbox" name="selectItems" value="<c:out value="${item.numberPlate}"/>" /> </td> <td align="left"><c:out value="${item.numberPlate}"/></td> <td align="left"><c:out value="${item.driver.fullName}"/></td> <td align="left"><input type="text" name="mileage_<c:out value="${item.numberPlate}"/>" value="" /></td> </tr> </c:forEach> </tbody> and my jquery: $("input[name=selectItems]").change(function() { if (this.checked) { $(this).closest("tr").find("input[name^=mileage]").attr("class","required"); $(this).closest("tr").find("input[name^=mileage]").attr("number",true); } else { $(this).closest("tr").find("input[name^=mileage]").attr("class","") } }); any suggestion is welcome and... I almost forgot, Merry Xmas!

  • Multiple/repeat .replace on one page

    - by Kenneth B
    I've made a script which copies the ALT-tag of an image and puts it into a SPAN. It also formates the information devided by a hyphen. It works like a charm, but only with one image. Further more, I would like it to wrap a div around the image, to prevent unnecessary markup, as I have now. Any ideas is much appreciated... :-) Script that works now: HTML: <div id="hoejre"> <p><span class="alignright"><img src="tommy_stor.jpg" alt="Name - Title" width="162" height="219" /><span></span></span></p> </div> jQuery: var alt = $("#hoejre p span img").attr("alt"); $('#hoejre p span span').html("<strong>" + alt.replace("-", "</strong> <em>") + "</em>"); Output: <span class="alignright"><img height="219" width="162" alt="Name - Title" src="tommy_stor.jpg"><span><strong>Name </strong> <em> Title</em></span></span> How do you I repeat the effect on several images, with different information within? P.S.: I really love this forum. I have used several other forums for this kind of questions, but this one is by far the most professional.

  • Loading default value in a dropdown and calling onchange event

    - by J. Davidson
    Hi i have following dropdown <div class="fcolumn"> <label class="text" for="o_Id">Months:</label> <select class="textMonths" id="o_Id" name="periodName" > <option value="000">Select Period--</option> </select> </div> In the following jquery, first it loads fnLoadP() in a drop down list. Than as a default I am loading one of the values in drop down which is '10'. It loads too as default value. But it should be executing $("#o_Id").change.. which it doesn't. $(document).ready(function () { var sProfileUserId = null; $("#o_Id").change(function () { //---- }); fnLoadP(); $("select[name='pName']").val('10'); }); }); Basically my goal is. After dropdown values are loaded, to load '10' as default value and call onchange event in the dom. Please let me know how to fix it.

  • How can I stop the browser viewport moving to the top of the page when the user clicks on a jQueryUI radio button?

    - by ben
    I have got some radio buttons setup like this: <div id="typeRadios"> <input id="note_notetype_note1" name="note[notetype]" type="radio" value="note1" /><label for="note_notetype_note1">note1</label> <input id="note_notetype_note2" name="note[notetype]" type="radio" value="note2" /><label for="note_notetype_note2">note2</label> </div> That I turn into jQueryUI buttons like this: $("#typeRadios").buttonset(); This is the resulting HTML: <input type="radio" value="note1" name="note[notetype]" id="note_notetype_note1" class="ui-helper-hidden-accessible"> <label for="note_notetype_note1" aria-pressed="false" class="ui-button ui-widget ui-state-default ui-button-text-only ui-corner-left" role="button" aria-disabled="false"><span class="ui-button-text">note1</span></label> <input type="radio" value="note2" name="note[notetype]" id="note_notetype_note2" class="ui-helper-hidden-accessible"> <label for="note_notetype_note2" aria-pressed="false" class="ui-button ui-widget ui-state-default ui-button-text-only ui-corner-left" role="button" aria-disabled="false"><span class="ui-button-text">note2</span></label> The buttons work, but whenever I click one, the browser view-port gets returned to the top of the page, the same way it happens when you click on a <a href="#">link</a> link. I am using jQuery 1.4.2 and jQueryUI 1.8.7. How can I prevent this behaviour? Thanks for reading. EDIT: The <a href="#">link</a> part was missing.

  • Maven 3 plugin - How to programatically exclude a dependency and all its transitive dependencies?

    - by electrotype
    I'm developing a Maven 3 plugin and I want to exclude some dependencies, and their transitive dependencies, when a configuration is set to true in the plugin. I don't want to use <exclusions> in the POM itself, even in a profile. I want to exclude those dependencies programatically. In fact, what I want is to prevent the dependency jars to be included in the final war (I'm building a war), when a plugin configuration is set to true. I tried : @Mojo(requiresDependencyResolution=ResolutionScope.COMPILE, name="compileHook",defaultPhase=LifecyclePhase.COMPILE) public class compileHook extends AbstractMojo { @Override public void execute() throws MojoExecutionException, MojoFailureException { // ... Set<Artifact> artifacts = this.project.getArtifacts(); for(Artifact artifact : artifacts) { if("org.package.to.remove".equalsIgnoreCase(artifact.getGroupId())) { artifact.setScope("provided"); } } // ... } } Since this occures at the compile phase, it will indeed remove the artifacts with a group id "org.package.to.remove" from having their jars included in the war when packaged. But this doesn't remove the transitive artifacts those dependencies add! What is the best way to programatically remove some dependencies, and their transitive dependencies, from being included in a final .jar/.war?

  • Accessing the calling object into ajax response... (not the ajax call)

    - by Nishchay Sharma
    I have an object of type Application (defined by me). Whenever an object of this type is created, it automatically loads a php file say "start.php" using jquery ajax and assign the response to a div say "Respo". Now what i want is to access the Application object from that Respo div. Unfortunately, i have no clue how to do this... in my ajax call: function Application(options) { ....... var appObj=this; $.ajax({ url:appObj.location, //Already defined success:function(data) { $("#respo").html(data); } }); } Now in my Respo division i want to access that Application object... I tried: alert(this) but it resulted in an object of DOMWindow... i tried editing success function as: function Application(options) { ....... var appObj=this; $.ajax({ url:appObj.location, //Already defined success:function(data) { $("#respo").html("<script type='text/javascript'>var Self="+appObj+"</script>"); $("#respo").html(data); } }); } But i ended nowhere. :( Although if i assign "var Self='nishchay';" then alerting Self from start.php gives nishchay but i am not able to assign the calling object of Application type to the Self variable. It is the only way I cud think of. :\ Please help me... actually my object has some editing functions to control itself - its look and feel and some other options. I want the code loaded by object to control the object itself. Please help me.. Thanks in advance. Nishchay

  • Catch/Intercept all mouse clicks

    - by Hallik
    I have this simple script that catches all mouse clicks, unless you click on something that actually works. Links, flash videos, etc. How can I adjust this so no matter what a user clicks on, before the video loads, new page loads, etc. It sends the simple GET request I built? (function($) { $.fn.saveClicks = function() { $(this).bind('mousedown.clickmap', function(evt) { var clickDocument = (document.documentElement != undefined && document.documentElement.clientHeight != 0) ? document.documentElement : document.body; var width = clickHeatDocument.clientWidth != undefined ? clickDocument.clientWidth : window.innerWidth; var height = clickHeatDocument.clientHeight != undefined ? clickDocument.clientHeight : window.innerHeight; var scrollx = window.pageXOffset == undefined ? clickDocument.scrollLeft : window.pageXOffset; var scrolly = window.pageYOffset == undefined ? clickDocument.scrollTop : window.pageYOffset; var x = evt.clientX + scrollx; var y = evt.clientY + scrolly; $.get('/click-save.php', { "x":evt.pageX, "y":evt.pageY, "click":"true", "w":width, "h":height, "l":escape(document.location.pathname), "d":escape(document.domain) }); }); }; })(jQuery); $(function() { $(document).saveClicks(); });

I've tried: $("ul.collapse li:gt(2)").css("color", "red"); But it selects the 4th and higher LIs in the whole document. "Four", "Five", and "1", "2", "3", "4" are red.

  • How to load src in html5 Video tag from JavaScript?

    - by luis_laurent
    Here is the thing, I'm working with ASP.NET and I'm using this particular SignalR library to broadcast a video to my clients, but as far as I know I can not stream video because signalR is a messaging system and it is not intended to stream video, files or things like that. Now what I am trying to do is to split the video into buffers that is Base64-encoded into a string, then on the client I am decoding this string and I am trying to load it into the source of a Video tag. Here I show you what I am doing on the client: HTML Code: <video id="myVideo"> <source id="video_source"> </video> Javascript Code: //here somehow I am getting the string with the base64-encoded video function playVideo(message) { var myVideo = document.getElementById("myVideo"); var mySource = document.getElementById("video_source"); mySource.setAttribute("src", getEncodedVideoString("avi", message)); myVideo.load(); myVideo.play(); }; // here I am formatting and concatenating the string for my source attribute function getEncodedVideoString(type, file) { return 'data:video/' + type + ';base64,' + $.base64.decode(file); } Well as you can see, at the moment I'm facing a scenario a little weird, but I already have the video encoded on the client, now I just need to find out the way to reproduce that video. And here is when my question comes up, does any one has done something like this before, or you have any idea or suggestion to do that? P.S I am using this jquery-base64 library to decode my string

  • Customize SharePoint list using InfoPath2010 form Part4

    - by ybbest
    Customize SharePoint list using InfoPath2010 form Part1 Customize SharePoint list using InfoPath2010 form Part2 Customize SharePoint list using InfoPath2010 form Part3 In this post, I’d like to show you how to create print functionality in InfoPath for SharePoint list. The print functionality is provided out of box in InfoPath form library; however it is not available in SharePoint list. Here are the steps to create the print functionality.You can download the new form here. 1. Create print page in the list by first copy and paste the displayifs.aspx and rename the file to Printifs.aspx. 2. Open the page in the SharePoint designer and copy the following javascript to the PlaceHolderTitleAreaClass ContentPlaceHolder. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("[id^='Ribbon']").hide(); $(".s4-title").hide(); $("[id='s4-leftpanel']").hide(); $("[id='s4-ribbonrow']").hide(); $("[id='s4-titlerow']").hide(); $("[id='s4-titlerow']").css("height", "0px"); $("body").css("background-color", "white"); $("body").css("zoom", "135%"); $("[id='MSO_ContentTable']").css("margin-left", "0px"); $("[id='MT-BodyContent']").css("width", "900px"); $(".MT-BodyArea").css("width", "900px"); $("[id='MT-Layout']").css("width", "900px"); $(".ms-bodyareacell").css("width", "900px"); $(".s4-wpTopTable").css("border", "none"); $("[id$='XmlFormView']").css("margin-left", "-80px"); $("body").css("margin-top", "-30px"); $(":contains('CAPEX')").css("border", "5px solid #FFCC00"); window.print(); }); </script> 3. Open InfoPath form for the list and create a field called PrintLink 4. Set the default value of printLink that points to the print page I just created before with the query string id.You can download the formula for the default value here. 5. Add a new image that looks like Print button on the display view, then I can set the url to the Print link Field. (The reason I did not use button is that you cannot set the navigate url for the button). 6.Set the url of the image to the PrintLInk field. 7.Next , create the print view. 8. Copy the contents from the display view to print view 9. Finally, go to the printifs.aspx and edit the InfoPath web part to set the view to PrintView. 9. Republish you form you will see the form as shown below 10. If you click the Print button, you will see the print page and print dialog,you can also add the company logo in the print page using css as well. 11.To deploy the customization,you can use the backup and restore content database approach , you can get more details from my previous blog post here.

  • Supplying a callback to Jeditable

    - by pjmorse
    Summary: When I try supplying a onsubmit or onreset callback to Jeditable, I get Object [function] has no method 'apply' errors. How I got here: I've been working on a rails plugin to supply Jeditable and jWYSIWYG for in-place WYSIWYG editing. Development is driven by a Rails project I'm working on which asks for specific functions. One of the options I added was the ability to trigger Jeditable's edit mode using a button instead of clicking on the editable text itself, following the pattern suggested in this answer. The next step, though, is to hide the button while in edit mode, and reveal it again when leaving edit mode. The hide is easy enough; I just added a line to the triggering function which sends .toggle() to the button. Reveal is trickier. I figure I need to .toggle() again on submit or cancel, and helpfully, Jeditable offers onsubmit and onreset callbacks. However, when I try using those callbacks, I get this Object [something] has no method 'apply' errors. What I'm trying: Because this is in the context of a Rails helper, the actual mechanics are a little more involved than this, but the upshot is that I'm trying to follow this pattern, handing Jeditable this in the args: "onsubmit":"showTrigger", and then including this script: function showTrigger(settings, original) { $(".edit_trigger[id='element_id']").toggle(); } However, on submitting changes or canceling an edit, I get the error Object showTrigger has no method 'apply' ...as described above. I also tried sending in a function directly as the "onsubmit" argument (i.e. "onsubmit": "function(settings, original){$(\".edit_trigger[id='element_id']\").toggle();}" and then I just get Object function(settings, original){$(\".edit_trigger[id='element_id']\").toggle();} has no method 'apply' instead. There must be something wrong with how I'm handing in this callback. Any ideas? ETA: This answer suggests to me that somehow I'm providing a string to Jeditable when it expects a function instead. However, because I'm working within the context of a Rails helper, I'm not at all sure how to fix that - the "showTrigger" bit is set as a Ruby variable in the helper, and although window.showTrigger() is defined when the window is loaded, I don't know how to designate that function within a Ruby variable such that it will be recognized as a function at page load time.

  • jQuery DataTables server side processing and ASP.Net

    - by Chad
    I'm trying to use the server side functionality of the jQuery Datatables plugin with ASP.Net. The ajax request is returning valid JSON, but nothing is showing up in the table. I originally had problems with the data I was sending in the ajax request. I was getting a "Invalid JSON primative" error. I discovered that the data needs to be in a string instead of JSON serialized, as described in this post: http://encosia.com/2008/06/05/3-mistakes-to-avoid-when-using-jquery-with-aspnet-ajax/. I wasn't quite sure how to fix that, so I tried adding this in the ajax request: "data": "{'sEcho': '" + aoData.sEcho + "'}" If the aboves eventually works I'll add the other parameters later. Right now I'm just trying to get something to show up in my table. The returning JSON looks ok and validates, but the sEcho in the post is undefined, and I think thats why no data is being loaded into the table. So, what am I doing wrong? Am I even on the right track or am I being stupid? Does anyone ran into this before or have any suggestions? Here's my jQuery: $(document).ready(function() { $("#grid").dataTable({ "bJQueryUI": true, "sPaginationType": "full_numbers", "bServerSide":true, "sAjaxSource": "GridTest.asmx/ServerSideTest", "fnServerData": function(sSource, aoData, fnCallback) { $.ajax({ "type": "POST", "dataType": 'json', "contentType": "application/json; charset=utf-8", "url": sSource, "data": "{'sEcho': '" + aoData.sEcho + "'}", "success": fnCallback }); } }); }); HTML: <table id="grid"> <thead> <tr> <th>Last Name</th> <th>First Name</th> <th>UserID</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td colspan="5" class="dataTables_empty">Loading data from server</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Webmethod: <WebMethod()> _ Public Function ServerSideTest() As Data Dim list As New List(Of String) list.Add("testing") list.Add("chad") list.Add("testing") Dim container As New List(Of List(Of String)) container.Add(list) list = New List(Of String) list.Add("testing2") list.Add("chad") list.Add("testing") container.Add(list) HttpContext.Current.Response.ContentType = "application/json" Return New Data(HttpContext.Current.Request("sEcho"), 2, 2, container) End Function Public Class Data Private _iTotalRecords As Integer Private _iTotalDisplayRecords As Integer Private _sEcho As Integer Private _sColumns As String Private _aaData As List(Of List(Of String)) Public Property sEcho() As Integer Get Return _sEcho End Get Set(ByVal value As Integer) _sEcho = value End Set End Property Public Property iTotalRecords() As Integer Get Return _iTotalRecords End Get Set(ByVal value As Integer) _iTotalRecords = value End Set End Property Public Property iTotalDisplayRecords() As Integer Get Return _iTotalDisplayRecords End Get Set(ByVal value As Integer) _iTotalDisplayRecords = value End Set End Property Public Property aaData() As List(Of List(Of String)) Get Return _aaData End Get Set(ByVal value As List(Of List(Of String))) _aaData = value End Set End Property Public Sub New(ByVal sEcho As Integer, ByVal iTotalRecords As Integer, ByVal iTotalDisplayRecords As Integer, ByVal aaData As List(Of List(Of String))) If sEcho <> 0 Then Me.sEcho = sEcho Me.iTotalRecords = iTotalRecords Me.iTotalDisplayRecords = iTotalDisplayRecords Me.aaData = aaData End Sub Returned JSON: {"__type":"Data","sEcho":0,"iTotalRecords":2,"iTotalDisplayRecords":2,"aaData":[["testing","chad","testing"],["testing2","chad","testing"]]}

  • Wordpress and Jquery slide

    - by kwek-kwek
    I am integrating a Jquery slider inside of wordpress here is the demo of the slider. I can see the div that is their but for some reason it is not showing up. View the working site here Now my problem is that this code: <script type="text/javascript"> var _siteRoot='index.php',_root='index.php';</script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/js/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/js/scripts.js"></script> represents and index.html, but in wordpress I enabled permalinks. Any clue what would be the _siteRoot is? here is the complete code HEADER <script type="text/javascript"> var _siteRoot='index.php',_root='index.php';</script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/js/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/js/scripts.js"></script> Here are the images: <div id="slide-holder"> <div id="slide-runner"> <a href=""><img id="slide-img-1" src="images/nature-photo.png" class="slide" alt="" /></a> <a href=""><img id="slide-img-2" src="images/nature-photo1.png" class="slide" alt="" /></a> <a href=""><img id="slide-img-3" src="images/nature-photo2.png" class="slide" alt="" /></a> <a href=""><img id="slide-img-4" src="images/nature-photo3.png" class="slide" alt="" /></a> <a href=""><img id="slide-img-5" src="images/nature-photo4.png" class="slide" alt="" /></a> <a href=""><img id="slide-img-6" src="images/nature-photo4.png" class="slide" alt="" /></a> <a href=""><img id="slide-img-7" src="images/nature-photo6.png" class="slide" alt="" /></a> <div id="slide-controls"> <p id="slide-client" class="text"><strong>post: </strong><span></span></p> <p id="slide-desc" class="text"></p> <p id="slide-nav"></p> </div> </div> <!--content featured gallery here --> </div> And the footer <script type="text/javascript"> if(!window.slider) var slider={};slider.data=[{"id":"slide-img-1"},{"id":"slide-img-2"},{"id":"slide-img-3"},{"id":"slide-img-4"},{"id":"slide-img-5"},{"id":"slide-img-6"},{"id":"slide-img-7"},{"id":"slide-img-8"}]; </script>

  • jQuery Hover functions

    - by Banderdash
    Thus far you guys have been wildly helpful with me getting this little ditty working just so. I have one further request: This markup: <div id="themes"> <h2>Research Themes</h2> <ul> <li class="tier_1"><a class="enviro" href="">Learn about our approach to the <strong>environment</strong></a> <ul class="tier_2 hide"> <li><a href=""><em>How we are tying this all together</em></a></li> <li><a href="off.html"><strong>Project:</strong> Solor Powered Biofactories</a></li> <li><a href=""><strong>Project:</strong> Cleaning Water with Nature</a></li> <li><a href=""><strong>Project:</strong> Higher Efficiency Solar Technology</a></li> </ul> </li> <li class="tier_1"><a class="health" href="">Learn about our approach to <strong>human health</strong></a> <ul class="tier_2 hide"> <li><a href="">Project name numero uno goes here</a></li> <li><a href="">Project name numero dos goes here</a></li> <li><a href="">Project name numero tres goes here</a></li> </ul> </li> <li class="tier_1"><a class="defense" href="">Learn about our approach to <strong>national defense</strong></a> <ul class="tier_2 hide"> <li><a href="">Project name numero uno goes here</a></li> <li><a href="">Project name numero dos goes here</a></li> <li><a href="">Project name numero tres goes here</a></li> </ul> </li> </ul> </div><!-- // end themes --> And this jQuery: $(function(){ $(".tier_1 > a").hover(function() { var currentList = jQuery(this).parents('li').find('.tier_2'); $(currentList).slideToggle(); jQuery(this).parents('ul').find('.tier_2').not(currentList).slideUp(); return false; }); }); Create this nifty 'themes' slider you can see working on the right column of this page: http://clients.pixelbleed.net/biodesign/ I have two problems with it...The hover retracts the slideUp/down when you hit one of the links under a tier_2 ul. I'd like it to remain slideout as someone hovers the nested li's. So the slide should only happen on hover for the tier_1 elements. Also I would like, on hover to add an "active" class to the a element on the tier_1 links. So [a class="enviro"..] would, on hover, become [a class="enviro active"]. This is then removed when one of the other tier_1 items is hovered. This way the pretty color icon can stay visible while someone looks at the nested elements. Not even sure all that is possible with hover, but I figured if anyone would know a way it would be here.

  • jQuery AJAX (google PageRank)

    - by RobertPitt
    Hey guys, I need a little help.. iv'e been developing a Jqery plug-in to get the page ranks of urls on a website using XHR, The problem is when requesting the rank from google servers the page is returned no content, but if i use an inspector and get the url that was requests and go to it via my browser the pageranks are shown. so it must be something with headers but its just got me puzzled. Heres some source code but i have removed several aspects that are not needed to review. pagerank.plugin.js ( $.fn.PageRank = function(callback) { var _library = new Object(); //Creat the system library _library.parseUrl = function(a) { var b = {}; var a = a || ''; /* * parse the url to extract its parts */ if (a = a.match(/((s?ftp|https?):\/\/){1}([^\/:]+)?(:([0-9]+))?([^\?#]+)?(\?([^#]+))?(#(.+))?/)) { b.scheme = a[2] ? a[2] : "http"; b.host = a[3] ? a[3] : null; b.port = a[5] ? a[5] : null; b.path = a[6] ? a[6] : null; b.args = a[8] ? a[8] : null; b.anchor = a[10] ? a[10] : null } return b } _library.ValidUrl = function(url) { var b = true; return b = url.host === undefined ? false : url.scheme != "http" && url.scheme != "https" ? false : url.host == "localhost" ? false : true } _library.toHex = function(a){ return (a < 16 ? "0" : "") + a.toString(16) } _library.hexEncodeU32 = function(a) { } _library.generateHash = function(a) { for (var b = 16909125, c = 0; c < a.length; c++) { } return _library.hexEncodeU32(b) } var CheckPageRank = function(domain,_call) { var hash = _library.generateHash(domain); $.ajax( { url: 'http://www.google.com/search?client=navclient-auto&ch=8'+hash+'&features=Rank&q=info:' + escape(domain), async: true, dataType: 'html', ifModified:true, contentType:'', type:'GET', beforeSend:function(xhr) { xhr.setRequestHeader('Referer','http://google.com/'); //Set Referer }, success: function(content,textS,xhr){ var d = xhr.responseText.substr(9, 2).replace(/\s$/, ""); if (d == "" || isNaN(d * 1)) d = "0"; _call(d); } }); } //Return the callback $(this).each(function(){ urlsegments = _library.parseUrl($(this).attr('href')) if(_library.ValidUrl(urlsegments)) { CheckPageRank(urlsegments.host,function(rank){ alert(rank) callback(rank); }); } }); return this; //Dont break any chain. } )(jQuery); Index.html (example) <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="pagerank.plugin.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('a').PageRank(function(pr){ alert(pr); }) }); </script> </head> <body> <a href="http://facebook.com">a</a> <a href="http://twitter.com">a</a> <div></div> </body> </html> i just cant understand why its doing this.

  • Jquery calendar and tab sliding div clash...

    - by StealthRT
    Hey all, i am trying my best to figure out another way around this problem i seem to have encountered. On my website i have a jquery calendar and also a jquery div tab slider (this: http://www.queness.com/resources/html/tabmenu/jquery-tabbed-menu-queness.html). The problem comes into play with the DIV tag. The calender loads up inside a DIV with a id of 'calender'. The CSS for the tabs have the DIV hidden: CSS: .boxBody div {display:none;} .boxBody div.show {display:block;} .boxBody #category a {display:block;} And because of that, the calender never shows on the page. However, if i comment out that css code above, it shows up but does not cover each section as it should. In other words, everything is shown when it should be hidden until the tabs are clicked on to revel it. code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('#tabMenu > li').click(function(){ $('#tabMenu > li').removeClass('selected'); $(this).addClass('selected'); $('.boxBody div').slideUp('1500'); $('.boxBody div:eq(' + $('#tabMenu > li').index(this) + ')').slideDown('1500'); }).mouseover(function() { $(this).addClass('mouseover'); $(this).removeClass('mouseout'); }).mouseout(function() { $(this).addClass('mouseout'); $(this).removeClass('mouseover'); }); $('.boxBody #category li').mouseover(function() { $(this).css('backgroundColor','#888'); $(this).children().animate({paddingLeft:"20px"}, {queue:false, duration:300}); }).mouseout(function() { $(this).css('backgroundColor',''); $(this).children().animate({paddingLeft:"0"}, {queue:false, duration:300}); }); $('.boxBody li').click(function(){ window.location = $(this).find("a").attr("href"); }).mouseover(function() { $(this).css('backgroundColor','#888'); }).mouseout(function() { $(this).css('backgroundColor',''); }); }); </script> <div align="center"> <div class="Mainbox"> <ul id="tabMenu"> <div id="theLogo"><[img] src="img/theLogo.png" width="415" height="146" /></div> <li class="stats"><[img] src="img/Stats.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab1" /></li> <li class="cal"><[img] src="img/cal.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab2" /></li> <li class="loyalty"><[img] src="img/Loyalty.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab3" /></li> <li class="Employees"><[img] src="img/Employees.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab4" /></li> <li class="txtemail"><[img] src="img/TxtEmail.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab5" /></li> </ul> <div class="boxTop"></div> <div class="boxBody"> <div id="stats" class="show"> Just a test here.... </div> <div id="cal"> <div id='calendar'></div> </div> <div class="boxBottom"></div> </div> </div> How can i change the tab javascript code so that it does not have to hide the DIV's so that the calendar will work? I've tried to replace all div's with 'span' or 'p' but that does not seem to work at all. Any help would be great as i am stuck on this and can not go any further without it being solved! :) David

  • Update to Easy Slider 1.7 made all my JQuery code stop working.

    - by Anders H
    I'm pretty novice as a JQuery user goes. I've got some experience implementing different plugins but would be lost trying to customize my own. I can't share the exact site details with you due to a NDA, so I hope someone can give me a little help. I've got a project due today (Just HTML/CSS/JQuery). It has a lightbox, show/hide login menu and a slider is Easy Slider 1.5. Everything was working together, until I attempted to update to Easy Slider 1.7 (see link on same page, I'm too new to post more than 1 link). When I did so, JQuery stopped working for all the plugins. I've attempted to revert back to the original state, by undoing my work (didn't do much), ad JQuery remains broken. Firebug Error Console shared no errors. I can't find anything in the code no matter how hard I look at it. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this JQuery problem? Delivery is supposed to be tonight for the project.
