Unzipping the  war file, the file was perfect.2. Checking the size, same size as in other environments.3. Checking the ownership of the file, same as in other environments.4. Checking the permissions of the file, same as other applications.Then we accepted the file was fine, so we tried enabling some deployment debugs, but no clues.We also tried:1. Delete all contents of <MyDomain/servers/<MyServer>/tmp> a and <MyDomain/servers/<MyServer>/cache> folders, the issue persisted.2. When renaming the application the deployment was sucessful3. When targeting to the Admin Server, deployment was also working.4. Using 'Copy this application onto every target for me' didn't help either.Finally, my friend 'Test Case' solved the issue again.I saw this name in the config.xml<jdbc-system-resource>    <name>myapp</name>    <target></target>    <descriptor-file-name>jdbc/myapp-jdbc.xml</descriptor-file-name>  </jdbc-system-resource> So, it turned out that customer had created a DataSource with the same name as the application 'myapp' in the above example.By deleting the datasource and created another exact DataSource with a different name the issue was solved.At this point, Do you know Why 'java.util.zip.ZipException: Error opening file' was occurring?Because all names is WebLogic Server need to be unique.References: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e13709/setup.htm"Assigning Names to WebLogic Server ResourcesMake sure that each configurable resource in your WebLogic Server environment has a unique name.   • Can't convert .iso to .img on iMac G5

    So I'm trying to create a bootable USB stick in order to install Ubuntu 12.04.1 on my iMac G5 running Mac OS X 10.4.11 but whenever I try to convert the downloaded .iso file into a .img, the .img.dmg file that the terminal creates just suddenly dissapears no matter where I select the output file to be. I tried hdiutil convert -format UDRW -o /path/to/target.img /path/to/ubuntu.iso and also hdiutil convert /path/to/ubuntu.iso -format UDRW -o /path/to/target.img but the exact same thing happens. I tried becoming root before I do all of this with sudo su but I still get the same results. The totally weird thing is that it works perfectly with Ubuntu Minimal .iso files. Could it be that the .iso I downloaded is corrupt?

  • Radiosity using a hemisphere

    I'm working on a radiosity processor. I'm projecting scene geometry onto a hemisphere at a high order of tessellation during a visibility pass onto a 1024x1024 render target. The problem is that the edges of certain triangles are not being rendered to the item buffer( render target )...so when I test certain edges( or pixels during pixel shader ) for visibility during a reconstruction pass, visible edges are not identified and as a result the pixel for that edge is discarded. One solution was to increase the resolution of the item buffer( up to 4096x4096 )...this helped and more edges were visible, however, this was not fullproof. How do I increase visibility? Here is a screenshot of a scene after radiosity is applied: the seams are edges along a triangle face that were not visible due to the resolution of the item buffer... fixed the problem by sampling the item buffer w/8 points:

Example from PHP: If I'm building an application using Zend framework, should I treat Zend framework libraries as third party code? Example from C#: If I'm building a desktop application, should I treat all .Net classes as third party code? Example from Java: Should I treat all libraries in the JDK as third party libraries? Some people say that if a library is stable and won't change often then one doesn't need to wrap it. However I fail to see how one would test a class that depends on a third party code without wrapping it.

  • Implementing a FSM with ActionScript 2 without using classes?

    I have seen several references of A.I. and FSM, but sadly I still can't understand the point of an FSM in AS2.0. Is it a must to create a class for each state? I have a game-project which also it has an A.I., the A.I. has 3 states: distanceCheck, ChaseTarget, and Hit the target. It's an FPS game and played via mouse. I have created the A.I. successfully, but I want to convert it to FSM method... My first state is CheckDistanceState() and in that function I look for the nearest target and trigger the function ChaseState(), there I insert the Hit() function to destroy the enemy, The 3 functions that I created are being called in AI_cursor.onEnterframe. Is there any chance to implement an FSM without the need to create a class? From what I've read before, you have to create a class. I prefer to write the code on frames in flash and I still don't understand how to have external classes.

Heres the broken link http://mydomain.com/blog/comments/feed/ I'm using Google web master tools and found that broken link coming from my web site pages' head tag. here's actual code where that link situated. <head> <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="My Domain Blog &raquo; Feed" href="http://www.my-domain.com/blog/feed/" /> </head> So Google report this link as a not found. Actually this link target is not an exact page or a location. But essential for the blog feeds. Anyway I have to fix this and remove from the Google crawler error's list. But haven't got any idea, because cannot redirect or do a 404 header with this link target. Have anyone got an idea of fixing this?

I obtained my associates degree as a programmer/analyst a couple years ago and I know a good amount about programming on the .NET framework. I'm even certified on the .NET 4 framework as a web application developer. However, since I was only able to obtain my associates degree, I was deprived at my college on the low-level basics and operations of computers and basic computer science information. I'm really interesting in learning about the low-level operations of a computer and in programming (bytes, bits, memory management, etc.) Can anyone recommend any good computer science books for someone who is decently experienced in programming?     I installed the Droid@Screen plugin into NetBeans IDE 8 so that you can see the Android device that I held in my hand while doing the demo below. The demo shows the usage of the Terminal window to create an Ionic Framework application (from "tabs", which is one of the cool templates that the framework provides), i.e., that means I can use AngularJS to create a Cordova application out of the box, with many mobile-oriented components available out of the box. Then I deploy the app to the Chrome browser on Android, which means I can interact with it in NetBeans, e.g., for CSS styling and JavaScript debugging. In this demo, I show how the background color of the deployed app can be changed live from NetBeans. After that, once I'm happy with the styling, I deploy the app again, but this time as a Cordova app, i.e., a hybrid HTML5 application, which means the app is packaged as a native app and deployed directly to the device from NetBeans.     Whats the best way to get started on iPhone development if you are an expeienced C++ or C# programmer? Most books either assume you know nothing or something. What are the steps to achieve this? For eg: first learn objective C (let's say), next learn cocoa... I am interested in books/resources. I read Getting started with iPhone development from Oreilly (the missing manuals book) but that just provided an over view on the programming and concentrated more on getting your app into the app store. I need need resources that will help be start coding. Other questions: How much of objective C do you need to know? How do go ahead with learning the cocoa framework? Can I directly start on cocoa touch or do I need to know the MAC cocoa framework first? Inputs from someone who was in the same situation (Know c++/c# but no clue about mac programming/objective c/cocoa) would help greatly.

I'm all for progressive enhancement, but whats the point when an advanced web applications bounces users at the door if they have an old browser or JavaScript disabled? We have a very slim target audience, and we can tell our target audience what browser and plugins/functionality they are required to have.     I have a large application I have written. I can successfully compile the application in the following scenarios: in a native compilation for the i386 host running Ubuntu 12.04 natively on a PandaBoard running Ubuntu 12.04 (this takes a long time) using Qemu and a chroot on the host PC for the armhf PandaBoard target (this takes a very long time) I would like to cross-compile the application on the i386 host to run on a target such as the PandaBoard to complete builds in a timely fashion. So far attempts made using the arm-linux-gnueabihf tool chain in the repositories has produced binaries that do not run correctly. At this stage, I have no plans to package the software. What is the recommended way to achieve a successful cross-compile?

  • How to export 3D models that consist of several parts (eg. turret on a tank)?

    What are the standard alternatives for the mechanics of attaching turrets and such to 3D models for use in-game? I don't mean the logic, but rather the graphics aspects. My naive approach is to extend the MD2-like format that I'm using (blender-exported using a script) to include a new set of properties for a mesh that: is anchored in another 'parent' mesh. The anchor is a point and normal in the parent mesh and a point and normal in the child mesh; these will always be colinear, giving the child rotation but not translation relative to the parent point. has a normal that is aligned with a 'target'. Classically this target is the enemy that is being engaged, but it might be some other vector e.g. 'the wind' (for sails and flags (and smoke, which is a particle system but the same principle applies)) or 'upwards' (e.g. so bodies of riders bend properly when riding a horse up an incline etc). that the anchor and target alignments have maximum and minimum and a speed coeff. there is game logic for multiple turrets and on a model and deciding which engages which enemy. 'primary' and 'secondary' or 'target0' ... 'targetN' or some such annotation will be there. So to illustrate, a classic tank would be made from three meshes; a main body mesh, a turret mesh that is anchored to the top of the main body so it can spin only horizontally and a barrel mesh that is anchored to the front of the turret and can only move vertically within some bounds. And there might be a forth flag mesh on top of the turret that is aligned with 'wind' where wind is a function the engine solves that merges environment's wind angle with angle the vehicle is travelling in an velocity, or something fancy. This gives each mesh one degree of freedom relative to its parent. Things with multiple degrees of freedom can be modelled by zero-vertex connecting meshes perhaps? This is where I think the approach I outlined begins to feel inelegant, yet perhaps its still a workable system? This is why I want to know how it is done in professional games ;) Are there better approaches? Are there formats that already include this information? Is this routine?

  • The practical cost of swapping effects

    Hello, I use XNA for my projects and on those forums I sometimes see references to the fact that swapping an effect for a mesh has a relatively high cost, which surprises me as I thought to swap an effect was simply a case of copying the replacement shader program to the GPU along with appropriate parameters. I wondered if someone could explain exactly what is costly about this process? And put, if possible, 'relatively' into context? For example say I wanted to use a short shader to help with picking, I would: Change the effect on every object, calculting a unique color to identify it and providing it to the shader. Draw all the objects to a render target in memory. Get the color from the target and use it to look up the selected object. What portion of the total time taken to complete that process would be spent swapping the shaders? My instincts would say that rendering the scene again, no matter how simple the shader, would be an order of magnitude slower than any other part of the process so why all the concern over effects?

  • Q&amp;A: Will my favourite ORM Foo work with SQL Azure?

    short answer: Quite probably, as SQL Azure is very similar to SQL Server longer answer: Object Relational Mappers (ORMs) that work with SQL Server are likely but not guaranteed to work with SQL Azure. The differences between the RDBMS versions are small – but may cause problems, for example in tools used to create the mapping between objects and tables or in generated SQL from the ORM which expects “certain things” :-) More specifically: ADO.NET Entity Framework / LINQ to Entities can be used with SQL Azure, but the Visual Studio designer does not currently work. You will need to point the designer at a version of your database running of SQL Server to create the mapping, then change the connection details to run against SQL Azure. LINQ to SQL has similar issues to ADO.NET Entity Framework above NHibernate can be used against SQL Azure DevExpress XPO supports SQL Azure from version 9.3 DataObjects.Net supports SQL Azure Open Access from Telerik works “seamlessly”  - their words not mine :-) The list above is by no means comprehensive – please leave a comment with details of other ORMs that work (or do not work) with SQL Azure.
