  • Why isn't uploadify and asp.net mvc 2 playing nice for me?

    First of all, I've checked out all the SO threads, and googled my brains out. I must be missing something obvious. I'd really appreciate some help! This is what I've got.   • Team Build: The path 'Path' is already mapped in workspace 'workspace' error even after deleting all

    I have this problem when I queue a build. The build dies with the error The path C:\[Path]\Sources is already mapped in workspace [Server Name]. the same as this question. but I've removed all the workspaces on the build agent by running this command: tf workspaces /remove:* and also by deleting the TFS cache folder. I've also restarted the server, but the error keeps happening on each build.

The locals don't need signposts - they know their way around - so who gives a hoot about visitors? Well I'm a visitor and I'm lost. Here's my plea to the good burgesses of Codeplex-sans-signs: HELP!! Let me back-track and explain what landed me at the bottom of this tangled ruck. There's a "Download" button positioned near the top-right of the Codeplex web page, right? Like the Sword of Damocles, a down-arrow to the left of the button indicates, presumably, what a download would include: CURRENT 1.4.0 Stable DATE Fri May 7 2010 at 7:00 AM STATUS Stable With a simple-minded confidence that has since deserted me (the confidence - not the simple-mindedness), I clicked "Download". This introduced 3 new files to my computer: HtmlAgilityPack.dll, HtmlAgilityPack.pdb, and HtmlAgilityPack.XML This is when the first stab of doubt penetrated that globe between my cauliflower ears that I call a head. Where's the dot cs? Somewhere in Codeplex, I'd read advice to another lost soul to "download and build the HTMLAgilityPack solution". As I've done so many times as an All Black prop, I glared at the opposition front row - ah, I mean the 3 new files. Shouldn't one of them have a ".cs" on the back of his jersey - er, on the end of its name? Or is this just how they play the game in Codeplex-sans-signs? Undaunted (props have more courage than sense) I packed into my first C# scrum. I'm willing to prostrate myself and grovel to the first kind face that passes in front of my rapidly clouding sight. So help me, I'd even tug my forelock if I had one!     I'm developing a website with ASP.NET MVC, NHibernate and Fluent Hibernate and getting the error "no session or session was closed" when I try to access a child object.     I have to develop a customized tab control and decided to create it with WPF/XAML, because I planned to learn it anyway. It should look like this when it's finished: I made good progress so far, but there are two issues left: Only the first/last tab item should have a rounded upper-left/bottom-left corner. Is it possible to modify the style of these items, similar to the way I did with the selected tab item? The selected tab item should not have a border on its right side. I tried to accomplish this with z-index and overlapping, but the results were rather disappointing. Is there any other way to do this?   • Facebook connect displaying invite friends dialog and closing on completion

    I'm trying to create a Facebook Connect application that displays a friend invite dialog within the page using Facebook's Javascript API (through a FBMLPopupDialog). The trouble is to display a friend invite dialog you use a multi-friend form which requires an action="url" attribute that represents the URL to redirect your page to when the user completes or skips the form. The problem is that I want to just close the FBMLPopupDialog (the same behavior as if the user just hit the 'X' button on the popup dialog). The best I can do is redirect the user back to the page they were on basically a reload but they lose all AJAX/Flash application state. I'm wondering if any Facebook Connect developers have run into this issue and have a good way to simply display a friend invite "lightbox" dialog within their website where they don't want to "refresh" or "redirect" when the user finishes.     The site is: http://www.clubloc.com/ And it works in firefox but not in google chrome. Internet explorer also has problems but thats pretty much a given when using HTML5 Canvas. Anyways I'm trying to figure out why it throws the error: Uncaught Error: INDEX_SIZE_ERR: DOM Exception 1 When the arrays clearly have all those elements, I even logged their size and it says 100. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Convert NSMutableArray to string and back

    Hello, in my current project I'm facing the following problem: The app needs to exchange data with my server, which are stored inside a NSMutableArray on the iPhone. The array holds NSString, NSData and CGPoint values. Now, I thought the easiest way to achieve this, was to convert the array into a properly formatted string, send it to my server and store it inside some mySQL database. At this point I'd like to request my data from my server, receive the string, which represents contents of my array and then actually convert it back into a NSMutablArray. So far, I tried something like this: NSString *myArrayString = [myArray description]; Now I send this string to my server and store it inside my mySQL database. That part works really well. However, when I receive the string from my server, I have trouble converting it back into a NSMutableArray. Is there a method, which can easily convert array description back into an array? Unfortunately I couldn't find anything on that so far. Maybe my way of "serializing" the array is wrong right from the start and there is a smarter way to do this. Any help appreciated.     Looks like the default toolbar for jqGrid is always at the bottom. Buttons like Next/Prev page and the dropdown to select the number of rows per page will always show at the bottom of the grid. I found a way to add a custom top toolbar and push custom buttons into it. What a really need is a way to add default functionality (like paging) to the top of the grid, instead the bottom.

    I have a ListView that I am paging with a DataPager. I would like to set the initial page of the pager on Page_Load. I have tried the DataPager.SetPageProperties method but it's not doing what I need. Here's how I'm calling this method: dataPager.SetPageProperties(3, dataPager.TotalRowCount, false); The line above trims the datasource to start at the third item and paging still starts at 1. This is not what I want. I want to keep the entire list of items and just jump to a specific page in the list. Is there another Property and/or method of a DataPager and/or ListView that I should use? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi all, I created an MSI InstalScript Project where i deploy a web based (ASP.NET) precompiled project copying the files during installation in the \inetpub\wwwroot\projectnamefolder, creating an AppPool and the virtual dir of course in the IIS. The setup works great in windows XP Pro (SP3 i used). But soon as i try in Windows 7 (tried Ultimate and Home Premium) i get a -1603 Fatal Error during installation...Windows Installer Help (MSI.chm) or MSDN for more info.... Dying to fix this... [Edit] I think error occurs when trying to create the Application in the IIS. [FIXED] Enable 32 Bit Apllications needs to be true when creating Application Pools through InstallShield in a 64 bit OS!

    Hello everybody. I'm doing a small web app, which uses CKeditor for user input, and CKfinder for file management (images/flash). Those who know CKFinder, algo know that the config file for CKFinder as a function named CheckAuthentication() that returns false or true, giving or not permissions to use CKFinder. This is were a Custom PHP Code checks if the user as authorization to access CKFinder or not. Well for my app I'm using Code Igniter, and of course I've created a model were i handle everything about User Permissions, Loggin, Session Cookies, etc. And i also have a function witch its propose is just to check if the user is Logged in. So I would like to know if someone knows a way that i can call the function isLoggedIn() inside the model security from inside the function CheckAuthentication() in CKFinder config file.     I am creating a database that will help keep track of which employees have been on a certain training course. I would like to get some guidance on the best way to design the database. Specifically, each employee must attend the training course each year and my database needs to keep a history of all the dates on which they have attend the course in the past. The end user will use the software as a planning tool to help them book future course dates for employees. When they select a given employee they will see: (a) Last attendance date (b) Projected future attendance date(i.e. last attendance date + 1 calendar year) In terms of my database, any given employee may have multiple past course attendance dates: EmpName AttandanceDate Joe Bloggs 1st Jan 2007 Joe Bloggs 4th Jan 2008 Joe Bloggs 3rd Jan 2009 Joe Bloggs 8th Jan 2010 My question is what is the best way to set up the database to make it easy to retrieve the most recent course attendance date? In the example above, the most recent would be 8th Jan 2010. Is there a good way to use SQL to sort by date and pick the MAX date? My other idea was to add a column called ‘MostRecent’ and just set this to TRUE. EmpName AttandanceDate MostRecent Joe Bloggs 1st Jan 2007 False Joe Bloggs 4th Jan 2008 False Joe Bloggs 3rd Jan 2009 False Joe Bloggs 8th Jan 2010 True I wondered if this would simplify the SQL i.e. SELECT Joe Bloggs WHERE MostRecent = ‘TRUE’ Also, when the user updates a given employee’s attendance record (i.e. with latest attendance date) I could use SQL to: Search for the employee and set the MostRecent value to FALSE Add a new record with MostRecent set to TRUE? Would anybody recommended either method over the other? Or do you have a completely different way of solving this problem?

No errors so far when installing PIL or when I compiled(?) the jpeg and freetype libraries so far. I'm on django 1.1.1, python 2.6.2.

    Hi Telerik's RADGrid, basing on their example on http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/dataediting/programaticlinqupdates/defaultcs.aspx Problem: I can insert and delete, however updating doesn't work. No error trapped. Data just doesn't change. From the code below it looks like Telerik Grid is doing some kung-fu behind the scenes to wire things up. I can't see the db receiving any update statements.     Hi All! I'm having an issue interacting between Matlab and .NET. I've managed to call .NET methods from Matlab code and vice versa. However, if I call a .NET method that, in turn, instantiates a Matlab object, it crashes (with a type initialization exception). Think about this scenario: a .NET assembly is interacting with a Matlab dll that was deployed for .NET (not native) by Matlab's deploytool. Now, when I'm loading the above .NET dll in a Matlab program everything is ok until I run a method that utilizes the other Matlab dll. Only then everything crashes. The exact message is: Warning: Cannot initialize MATLAB Compiler-generated software component in MATLAB. MATLAB Compiler-generated software components cannot be used from within MATLAB. Please don't offer not to use Matlab-.NET-Matlab architecture, it's not an option. Thank you very much (I promise to accept the answer that solves the problem :-)), Yaron.
