  • How do I make my custom Swing component visible?

    I have no idea why it won't show. First I create an instance of the component and then add it to a certain element in a two-dimensional JPanel array. Then I loop through that array and add each JPanel to another JPanel container which is to hold all the JPanels.   • JQuery Datepicker Date highlight Issue

    I have an in-line date picker in which I want to highlight some dates based on array of strings from the server side. I found out the on load of the page with the datepicker, events the matches in the current month will not be highlighted. when I click the next month button the events on the next moth will be highlighted. What I discovered that i the matching only get highlighted when I click to the next month and not when I click back to the previous month.     I'm trying to figure out the technicalities of scheduling in Linux. What I can't figure out is what happens with those entries in the run_queue where there are no running processes. In the run_queue we have a bitmap, a counter, and the array of lists themselves. For a list that is empty because there are no running tasks with its priority, what do the next and prev pointers point to?

  • Supersized image captions - render outside of JavaScript

    I am using the jQuery supersized script for a full screen slideshow (not the WordPress plugin as this didn't give me enough control). However, one issue that I am trying to tackle is how to render the image caption text outside of the javascript slides[ ] call - and instead, render them within the page div - to improve SEO on the page. My code works fine right now, images and the caption text are correctly displaying, but looking at the source code, there is very little text outside of the javascript (which is bad for SEO), so I would just like to improve it, if possible.     Hi everyone, I want to parse a text file, where I get numbers that are between parenthesis like this: 1 2 3 (4 - 7) 8 9 1 3 8 (7 - 8) 2 1 1 2 (8 - 10) 3 2 should return an array for each: array1: 4 7 8 array2: 7 8 10 I am thinking of using split for each line, like line.split("("), but that doesn't quite doing the trick..   • list of uids / names of System Preferences > Accounts

    How can I obtain an array with uid and names? I could iterate from 0 to 99999 and do a getpwnam(). However most machines have less than 5 accounts, so it's not optimal. I don't know what framework is responsible for this and thus I have no clue what to search for. Is there a more optimal solution that can traverse the accounts?
