  • jQuery UI Tabs Plugin Broke

    - by Warren J Thompson
    We are using the jquery ui tabs arrow plugin from this fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/dECtZ/282/, but like many plugins, it breaks with the latest version of jQuery. We were able to get the csscur to work, but still get the following error in the jquery core (line 353): Uncaught TypeError: Cannot assign to read only property 'length' of function (e,t){if(!this._createWidget)return new o(e,t);arguments.length&&this._createWidget(e,t)} Code is as follows: (function($, undefined) { if (!$.xui) { $.xui = {}; } var tabs = $.extend({}, $.ui.tabs.prototype), _super = { _create: tabs._create, _destroy: tabs._destroy, _update: tabs._update }; $.xui.tabs = $.extend(tabs, { options: $.extend({}, tabs.options, { scrollable: false, changeOnScroll: false, closable: false, resizable: false, resizeHandles: "e,s,se" }), _create: function() { var self = this, o = self.options; _super._create.apply(self); if (o.scrollable) { self.element.addClass("ui-tabs-scrollable"); var scrollContainer = $('<div class="ui-tabs-scroll-container"></div>').prependTo(this.element); self.header = $('<div class="ui-tabs-nav-scrollable ui-widget-header ui-corner-all"></div>').prependTo(scrollContainer); var nav = self.element.find(".ui-tabs-nav:first").removeClass("ui-widget-header ui-corner-all").appendTo(this.header); var arrowsNav = $('<ol class="ui-helper-reset ui-helper-clearfix ui-tabs-nav-arrows"></ol>').prependTo(self.element); var navPrev = $('<li class="ui-tabs-arrow-previous ui-state-default ui-corner-bl ui-corner-tl" title="Previous"><a href="#"><span class="ui-icon ui-icon-carat-1-w">Previous tab</span></a></li>').prependTo(arrowsNav).hide(), navNext = $('<li class="ui-tabs-arrow-next ui-state-default ui-corner-tr ui-corner-br" title="Next"><a href="#"><span class="ui-icon ui-icon-carat-1-e">Next tab</span></a></li>').appendTo(arrowsNav).hide(); var scrollTo = function(to, delay) { var navWidth = 0, arrowWidth = navPrev.outerWidth(), marginLeft = -(parseInt(nav.css("marginLeft"), 10)), hwidth = self.header.width(), newMargin = 0; nav.find("li").each(function() { navWidth += $(this).outerWidth(true); }); if (to instanceof $.Event) { } else { newMargin = marginLeft+to; if (newMargin > (navWidth-hwidth)) { newMargin = (navWidth-hwidth); } else if (newMargin < 0) { newMargin = 0; } nav.stop(true).animate({ marginLeft: -(newMargin) }, delay, function(){ $(window).trigger("resize.tabs"); }); } } var holdTimer = false; navPrev.add(navNext).bind({ "click": function(e) { var isNext = this === navNext[0]; e.preventDefault(); if (o.changeOnScroll) { self.select(self.options.selected + (isNext ?   • How to marshal int* in C#?

    - by MartyIX
    Hi, I would like to call this method in unmanaged library: void __stdcall GetConstraints( unsigned int* puiMaxWidth, unsigned int* puiMaxHeight, unsigned int* puiMaxBoxes ); My solution: Delegate definition: [UnmanagedFunctionPointer(CallingConvention.StdCall)] private delegate void GetConstraintsDel(UIntPtr puiMaxWidth, UIntPtr puiMaxHeight, UIntPtr puiMaxBoxes); The call of the method: // PLUGIN NAME GetConstraintsDel getConstraints = (GetConstraintsDel)Marshal.GetDelegateForFunctionPointer(pAddressOfFunctionToCall, typeof(GetConstraintsDel)); uint maxWidth, maxHeight, maxBoxes; unsafe { UIntPtr a = new UIntPtr(&maxWidth); UIntPtr b = new UIntPtr(&maxHeight); UIntPtr c = new UIntPtr(&maxBoxes); getConstraints(a, b, c); } It works but I have to allow "unsafe" flag. Is there a solution without unsafe code? Or is this solution ok? I don't quite understand the implications of setting the project with unsafe flag. Thanks for help!

  • CSS IE Hover Effect - Overlapping Elements, Display:Block, and Crashes

    - by Emtucifor
    In a fairly simple page, I have some text appear on hover over some links, like a tooltip. To start with here's my test page I'm working with: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <title>Tooltip Test Page</title> <style type="text/css"> html, body, form, table, tr, td, div, p, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 { border:0; margin:0; padding:0; } body { margin:10px; } html, body, table { font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:12px; } h1 { font-weight:bold; font-size:16px; } table {border-collapse:collapse;} td {padding:0 8px 0 0;} a.tooltip { z-index:24; text-decoration:none; cursor:default; position:relative; color:#000; display:block; width:100px; } a.tooltip span {display:none;} a.tooltip:hover, a.tooltip:active { z-index:25; color:; background:; /* the color and background actually don't matter for their values, it's just that these have to change for IE to apply this style properly. Leaving out the color or the background makes this fail in different ways. */ } a.tooltip:hover span, a.tooltip:active span { display:block; position:absolute; color:black; background-color:#FFFFCC; border:1px solid black; padding:1px; text-align:left; top:0; left:0; margin-top:-1px; } td span.s5 {color:#ff0000} td span.s6 {color:#0000ff} </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function labelSubmit(label) { document.getElementById('o').value=label; document.BackAt.submit(); } </script> </head> <body> <h1>tooltip Test Page</h1> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 3</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6<span>Some very long tooltip text to demonstrate the problem by overlapping the cells below.</span></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 1</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6</a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 2</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6<span>Some tooltip text</span></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 4</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6</a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s5">&#x25a0;</span> Name 5</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 5<span>More Notes</span></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 6</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6<span>Yet more notes</span></a></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </body> </html> The problem I'm experiencing is that text from other values shows through the tooltip text. Hover over the first row, second column to see the effect. There are a couple of things I'm trying to accomplish: Make the activation area for the hover wider, so hovering over some space to the right of "Status 6" calls up the tooltip (say, 100-150px total width of target). At first, when I was adding "display:block" to a.tooltip, IE was terminating on hover. I resolved that by removing width:14em from a.tooltip:hover. Styling the width of the hover event + display.block on the a element does BAD things. Change the width of the tooltip without changing the width of the column/parent element (so the tooltip can be wider than itso it takes up less vertical space). Options for making the tooltips change width with its contents up to a max width, at which point the lines wrap would be awesome, but probably impossible in IE. As soon as I put a width in place on a.tooltip, the portion of the tooltip that is above other rows than the hover source let text show through from those cells. Remove the width and you'll see that the text doesn't show through any more. The hover effect applies to the entire tooltip, so if the tooltip covers 3 rows, while moving the mouse downward, the next 2 rows won't activate because the cursor hasn't left the tooltip. Can the hover effect apply only to the initial element hovered over and not the tooltip itself so moving the mouse downward will show each tooltip in each row? It would be nice if the links could never be activated (they can't take the focus). I don't know if that's possible. Too bad IE doesn't support hover on any elements but links. Note: soon IE6 will be abandoned in favor of IE8. If it makes a big difference, then IE8 can be the target browser instead. Thanks for your help.

  • OS X, Mercurial and MediaTemple problem

    - by bschaeffer
    I've installed Mercurial per MT's knowledge base file here. Working with it server side using ssh from my Mac works fine. I can initialize repositories and the like, but pulling from the server or pushing from my Mac produces an error I don't understand. I would really appreciate any assitance on this problem. Thanks in advance!

  • Set PageIndex of DataPager

    - by Barbosa
    I have a ListView that I am paging with a DataPager. I would like to set the initial page of the pager on Page_Load. I have tried the DataPager.SetPageProperties method but it's not doing what I need. Here's how I'm calling this method: dataPager.SetPageProperties(3, dataPager.TotalRowCount, false); The line above trims the datasource to start at the third item and paging still starts at 1. This is not what I want. I want to keep the entire list of items and just jump to a specific page in the list. Is there another Property and/or method of a DataPager and/or ListView that I should use? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • In html 5, how to positioning a div element on top of a canvas element?

    - by Unraised
    Hi. Can anyone help me: I'm trying to put a div (say, 10px by 10px) element on top (in front) of a canvas element (say 500px by 500px) in html. I have tried changing the z-index of each, to no avail. Does anybody have any ideas, or is it one of those things that you can't really do? I already know how to do absolute positioning and everything, the div element just hangs out in the background behind the canvas element. I need a way to bring it to the front and the canvas element to the back. Thanks!

  • Syntax error on token "QUOTE", VariableDeclaratorId expected after this token

    - by user356812
    I've posted a bigger chunk of the code below. You can see that initially QUOTE was procedural- coded in place. I'm trying to learn how to use declarative design so I want to do the same thing but by using resources. It seems like I need to access the string.xml thru the @R.id tag and identify QUOTE with that string value. But I don't know enough to negotiate this. Any tips? Thanks! public class circle extends Activity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(new GraphicsView(this)); } static public class GraphicsView extends View { //private static final String QUOTE = "Happy Birthday to David."; private final String QUOTE = getString(R.string.quote); ..... @Override protected void onDraw(Canvas canvas) { // Drawing commands go here canvas.drawPath(circle, cPaint); canvas.drawTextOnPath(QUOTE, circle, 0, 20, tPaint);

  • Regex to leave desired string remaining and others removed

    - by m7d
    In Ruby, what regex will strip out all but a desired string if present in the containing string? I know about /[^abc]/ for characters, but what about strings? Say I have the string "group=4&type_ids[]=2&type_ids[]=7&saved=1" and want to retain the pattern group=\d, if it is present in the string using only a regex? Currently, I am splitting on & and then doing a select with matching condition =~ /group=\d/ on the resulting enumerable collection. It works fine, but I'd like to know the regex to do this more directly.

  • Side effect of calling ValidatorEnable method: sets focus to control associated with validator

    - by Velika2
    When I called this function to enable a validator from client javascript: `ValidatorEnable(document.getElementById('<%=valPassportOtherText.ClientID%>'), true); //enable` validation control The side effect was that focus was shifted to the txtSpecifyOccupation textbox (the control associated with the Validation control) <asp:TextBox ID="txtSpecifyOccupation" runat="server" AutoCompleteType="Disabled" CssClass="DefaultTextBox DefaultWidth" MaxLength="24" Rows="2"></asp:TextBox> <asp:RequiredFieldValidator ID="valSpecifyOccupation" runat="server" ControlToValidate="txtSpecifyOccupation" ErrorMessage="1.14b Please specify your &lt;b&gt;Occupation&lt;/b&gt;" SetFocusOnError="True">&nbsp;Required</asp:RequiredFieldValidator> Perhaps there is a way to enable the (required) validator without having it simultaneously perform the validation (at least until the user has tabbed off of it?)

  • Convert WMI CimType to System.Type

    - by Anonymous Coward
    I am trying to write a generic extension to turn a ManagementObjectCollection into a DataTable. This is just to make things easier for a startup script/program I am writing. I have ran into a problem with CimType. I have included the code I have written so far below. public static DataTable GetData(this ManagementObjectCollection objectCollection) { DataTable table = new DataTable(); foreach (ManagementObject obj in objectCollection) { if (table.Columns.Count == 0) { foreach (PropertyData property in obj.Properties) { table.Columns.Add(property.Name, property.Type); } } DataRow row = table.NewRow(); foreach (PropertyData property in obj.Properties) { row[property.Name] = property.Value; } table.Rows.Add(row); } return table; } } I have found the a method which I think will work at http://www.devcow.com/blogs/adnrg/archive/2005/09/23/108.aspx. However it seems to me like there may be a better way, or even a .net function I am overlooking.

  • JQuery validation without requiring MS scripts in asp.net mvc2 project

    - by Jim Geurts
    Is it possible to use the new client side validation features of asp.net MVC 2 without having to use the MS scripts (MicrosoftAjax.js, MicrosoftMvcAjax.js, MicrosoftMvcValidation.js)? I use JQuery throughout my application; JQuery has a great plugin for validation and I don't really want to force my users to load MS scripts just for validation. Is this possible? If so, any suggestions for how to accomplish it are appreciated.

  • Get Layout Shape Corresponding to Slide Shape

    - by Ryan
    In PP2007 and using VBA, how can I get the placeholder shape on a Slide Master layout that is the "master" for a placeholder shape on the slide? I am currently using a loop to compare the position and size of the slide placeholder with the position and shape of each placeholder shape in the slide's layout, but this isn't fool-proof. For example, if the placeholder shape is moved on the slide, its position may no longer match the position of any placeholder shapes in the slide's layout. I could reapply the slide's layout to snap placeholders back into position, but that's not what I want to do. Something in the object model like "Shape.Master" would be ideal but, of course, that doesn't exist.

  • Asp.net - Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using '<pages enableEv

    - by Jangwenyi
    I am getting the following error when I post back a page from the client-side. I have javascript code that modifies an asp:listbox on the client side. How do we fix this? Error details below: Server Error in '/XXX' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using <pages enableEventValidation="true"/> in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation. • WinDbg .for loop

    - by Scott
    I am having trouble getting the WinDbg .for command to work. I would like to dump an array of c++ structs. ?? gpTranData->mpApplCodes[0] works for a single entry but I would like to loop through n of these. .for ($t0=0;$t0<(gpTranData->miApplCodeCount);$t0++){ ?? &gpTranData->mpApplCodes[$t0] } sound logical to me but I get Numeric expression missing from '>miApplCodeCount);$t0++){ ?? &gpTranData->m_pApplCodes[$t0] }' Any ideas? • Python ImportError when executing 'import.py', but not when executing 'python import.py'

    - by Martin Del Vecchio
    I am running Cygwin Python version 2.5.2. I have a three-line source file, called import.py: #!/usr/bin/python import xml.etree.ElementTree as ET print "Success!" When I execute "python import.py", it works: C:\Temp>python import.py Success! When I run the python interpreter and type the commands, it works: C:\Temp>python Python 2.5.2 (r252:60911, Dec 2 2008, 09:26:14) [GCC 3.4.4 (cygming special, gdc 0.12, using dmd 0.125)] on cygwin Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> #!/usr/bin/python ... import xml.etree.ElementTree as ET >>> print "Success!" Success! >>> But when I execute "import.py', it does not work: C:\Temp>which python /usr/bin/python C:\Temp>import.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Temp\import.py", line 2, in ? import xml.etree.ElementTree as ET ImportError: No module named etree.ElementTree When I remove the first line (#!/usr/bin/python), I get the same error. I need that line in there, though, for when this script runs on Linux. And it works fine on Linux. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Application Specific Paths for DLL Loading when DLL is loaded dynamically

    - by MartinHT
    Hi: I am building a program that uses a very simple plugin system. This is the code I'm using to load the possible plugins: public interface IPlugin { string Name { get; } string Description { get; } bool Execute(System.Windows.Forms.IWin32Window parent); } private void loadPlugins() { int idx = 0; string[] pluginFolders = getPluginFolders(); Array.ForEach(pluginFolders, folder => { string[] pluginFiles = getPluginFiles(folder); Array.ForEach(pluginFiles, file => { try { System.Reflection.Assembly assembly = System.Reflection.Assembly.LoadFile(file); Array.ForEach(assembly.GetTypes(), type => { if(type.GetInterface("PluginExecutor.IPlugin") != null) { IPlugin plugin = assembly.CreateInstance(type.ToString()) as IPlugin; if(plugin != null) lista.Add(new PluginItem(plugin.Name, plugin.Description, file, plugin)); } }); } catch(Exception) { } }); }); } When the user selects a particular plugin from the list, I launch the plugin's Execute method. So far, so good! As you can see the plugins are loaded from a folder, and within the folder are several dll's that are needed but the plugin. My problem is that I can't get the plugin to 'see' the dlls, it just searches the launching applications startup folder, but not the folder where the plugin was loaded from. I have tried several methods: 1. Changing the Current Directory to the plugins folder. 2. Using an inter-op call to SetDllDirectory 3. Adding an entry in the registry to point to a folder where I want it to look (see code below) None of these methods work. What am I missing? As I load the dll plugin dynamically, it does not seem to obey any of the above mentioned methods. What else can I try? Regards, MartinH. //HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey appPaths = Microsoft.Win32.Registry.LocalMachine.CreateSubKey( string.Format( @"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\{0}", System.IO.Path.GetFileName(Application.ExecutablePath)), Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKeyPermissionCheck.ReadWriteSubTree); appPaths.SetValue(string.Empty, Application.ExecutablePath); object path = appPaths.GetValue("Path"); if(path == null) appPaths.SetValue("Path", System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(pluginItem.FileName)); else { string strPath = string.Format("{0};{1}", path, System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(pluginItem.FileName)); appPaths.SetValue("Path", strPath); } appPaths.Flush();
