Could anyone give me some tips on how to solve this issue? Thanks a lot for the help!

  • I need some help with either my SQL or my PHP I do not know which...

    - by sico87
Hello I am creating a CMS and some of the functionality of it that the images that are within the content are managable. I currently trying to display a table that shows the the content title and then the associated images, ideally I would like a layout similar to this, Content Title Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Content Title 2 Image 1 Image 2 Content Title 3 Image 1 The SQL the returns the data is actually formed using Codeigniters Active Record class, function getAllContentImages() { $this->db->select('*'); $this->db->from('contentImagesTable'); $this->db->join('contentTable', 'contentTable.contentId = contentImagesTable.contentId'); $this->db->join('categoryTable', 'categoryTable.categoryId = contentTable.categoryId'); $query = $this->db->get(); return $query->result_array(); } The array that is returned is looks like this, I have cut the size down for readability. Array ( [0] => Array ( [contentImageId] => 25 [contentImageName] => green.png [contentImageType] => .png [contentImagePath] => /var/www/bangmarketing.bang/media/uploads/contentImages/2/green.png [isHeadlineImage] => 1 [contentImageDateUploaded] => 1265222654 [contentId] => 2 [dashboardUserId] => 0 [contentTitle] => sadsadsadassss [contentAbstract] => <p>Pllllleeeeeeeaaaaasssssseeeeee Work</p> [contentBody] => <p>Please work :-( please</p> [contentOnline] => 0 [contentAllowComments] => 0 [contentDateCreated] => 1265124038 [categoryId] => 1 [categoryTitle] => blogsss [categoryAbstract] => <p>asdsdsadasdsadfdsgdgdsgdsgssssssssssss</p> [categorySlug] => blog [categoryIsSpecial] => 0 [categoryOnline] => 1 [categoryDateCreated] => 1266588327 ) [1] => Array ( [contentImageId] => 28 [contentImageName] => yellow.png [contentImageType] => .png [contentImagePath] => /var/www/bangmarketing.bang/media/uploads/contentImages/7/yellow.png [isHeadlineImage] => 1 [contentImageDateUploaded] => 1265388055 [contentId] => 7 [dashboardUserId] => 0 [contentTitle] => Another Blog [contentAbstract] => <p>This is another blog and it is shit becuase this does not work</p> [contentBody] => <p>ioasfihfududfhdufhuishdfiudshfiudhsfiuhdsiufhusdhfuids</p> [contentOnline] => 1 [contentAllowComments] => 0 [contentDateCreated] => 1265388034 [categoryId] => 1 [categoryTitle] => blogsss [categoryAbstract] => <p>asdsdsadasdsadfdsgdgdsgdsgssssssssssss</p> [categorySlug] => blog [categoryIsSpecial] => 0 [categoryOnline] => 1 [categoryDateCreated] => 1266588327 ) [2] => Array ( [contentImageId] => 33 [contentImageName] => portaski.jpg [contentImageType] => .jpg [contentImagePath] => /var/www/bangmarketing.bang/media/uploads/contentImages/11/portaski.jpg [isHeadlineImage] => 1 [contentImageDateUploaded] => 1265714175 [contentId] => 11 [dashboardUserId] => 0 [contentTitle] => Portaski - new product and brand launch by Bang [contentAbstract] => <p>Bang's experience in new product development has helped launch PortaSki &ndash; the pocket-sized device which is set to revolutionise skiing.</p> [contentBody] => <p>After developing Portaski's brand identity and positioning, Bang re-designed the product and its packaging ahead of launch in late 2008.</p> <p>A media and PR strategy was devised and implemented using Bang's close relationship with two of the UK's most influential organisations in the Advertising and Media Buying industries. • Scripting Bridge generates error creating a new playlist in iTunes on 10.5, but not 10.6

    - by Simone Manganelli
    I'm having a problem with the Scripting Bridge framework in 10.5. Specifically, I use this code to create a new user playlist in iTunes: NSDictionary *propertiesDict = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObject:@"playlistName" forKey:@"name"]; playlistToReturn = (iTunesUserPlaylist*)[[[iTunesApp classForScriptingClass:@"user playlist"] alloc] initWithProperties:propertiesDict]; SBElementArray *sourcesArray = [iTunesApp sources]; iTunesSource *librarySource = [sourcesArray objectAtIndex:0]; SBElementArray *userPlaylistsArray = [librarySource userPlaylists]; [userPlaylistsArray addObject:playlistToReturn]; This code works fine in 10.6. The playlist is created correctly, and I can add songs to it later. However, on 10.5, an error is generated: Apple event:'core'\'crel'{ 'kocl':'cUsP', 'insh':'insl'{ 'kobj':'obj '{ 'want':'cUsP', 'from':'obj '{ 'want':'cSrc', 'from':'null'(), 'form':'ID ', 'seld':42 }, 'form':'indx', 'seld':'abso'($206C6C61$) }, 'kpos':'end ' }, 'prdt':{ 'pnam':'utxt'("playlistName") } }; Error Domain=SBError Code=-10014 UserInfo=0x152c8cb0 "Operation could not be completed. • Optimize an SQL statement

    - by kovshenin
    Hey, I'm running WordPress, the database diagram could be found here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Database_Description After doing tonnes of filters and applying some hooks to the core, I'm left with the following query: SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS wp_posts.* FROM wp_posts JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_beds ON (ppmeta_beds.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_beds.meta_key = 'pp-general-beds' AND ppmeta_beds.meta_value >= 2) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_baths ON (ppmeta_baths.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_baths.meta_key = 'pp-general-baths' AND ppmeta_baths.meta_value >= 3) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_furnished ON (ppmeta_furnished.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_furnished.meta_key = 'pp-general-furnished' AND ppmeta_furnished.meta_value = 'yes') JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_pool ON (ppmeta_pool.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_pool.meta_key = 'pp-facilities-pool' AND ppmeta_pool.meta_value = 'yes') JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_pool_type ON (ppmeta_pool_type.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_pool_type.meta_key = 'pp-facilities-pool-type' AND ppmeta_pool_type.meta_value IN ('tennis', 'voleyball', 'basketball', 'fitness')) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_sport ON (ppmeta_sport.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_sport.meta_key = 'pp-facilities-sport' AND ppmeta_sport.meta_value = 'yes') JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_sport_type ON (ppmeta_sport_type.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_sport_type.meta_key = 'pp-facilities-sport-type' AND ppmeta_sport_type.meta_value IN ('tennis', 'voleyball', 'basketball', 'fitness')) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_parking ON (ppmeta_parking.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_parking.meta_key = 'pp-facilities-parking' AND ppmeta_parking.meta_value = 'yes') JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_parking_type ON (ppmeta_parking_type.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_parking_type.meta_key = 'pp-facilities-parking-type' AND ppmeta_parking_type.meta_value IN ('street', 'off-street', 'garage')) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_garden ON (ppmeta_garden.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_garden.meta_key = 'pp-facilities-garden' AND ppmeta_garden.meta_value = 'yes') JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_garden_type ON (ppmeta_garden_type.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_garden_type.meta_key = 'pp-facilities-garden-type' AND ppmeta_garden_type.meta_value IN ('private', 'communal')) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_type ON (ppmeta_type.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_type.meta_key = 'pp-general-type' AND ppmeta_type.meta_value IN ('villa', 'apartment', 'penthouse')) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_status ON (ppmeta_status.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_status.meta_key = 'pp-general-status' AND ppmeta_status.meta_value IN ('off-plan', 'resale')) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_location_type ON (ppmeta_location_type.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_location_type.meta_key = 'pp-location-type' AND ppmeta_location_type.meta_value IN ('beachfront', 'countryside', 'town-center', 'near-the-sea', 'hillside', 'private-resort')) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_price_range ON (ppmeta_price_range.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_price_range.meta_key = 'pp-general-price' AND ppmeta_price_range.meta_value BETWEEN 10000 AND 50000) JOIN wp_postmeta ppmeta_area_range ON (ppmeta_area_range.post_id = wp_posts.ID AND ppmeta_area_range.meta_key = 'pp-general-area' AND ppmeta_area_range.meta_value BETWEEN 50 AND 150) WHERE 1=1 AND (((wp_posts.post_title LIKE '%fdsfsad%') OR (wp_posts.post_content LIKE '%fdsfsad%'))) AND wp_posts.post_type = 'property' AND (wp_posts.post_status = 'publish' OR wp_posts.post_status = 'private') ORDER BY wp_posts.post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 10 It's way too big. Could anybody please show me a way of optimizing all those joins into fewer statements? As you can see they all use the same tables but under different names. I'm not an SQL guru but I think there should be a way, because this is insane ;) Thanks! Update Here's what explain returns: http://twitpic.com/1cd36p

  • How to design tag database structure?

    - by liuxingruo
I have a subjects database, and I want to create a new tag database to tag the subjects, but I have no idea how to design the new tag database structure. I'm assuming the new database looks like this: tag_id tag_name tagged_subject_ids 1 tag1 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 2 tag2 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12 so, if I want to select the tags belong to subject 1: SELECT tag_name FROM tag_database WHERE tagged_subject_ids LIKE '1'; I think the way that I select tag may be very slow, so please help me. Thanks!

  • One table, need multiple values from different rows/tuples

    - by WmasterJ
    I have tables like: 'profile_values' userID | fid | value -------+---------+------- 1 | 3 | [email protected] 1 | 45 | 203-234-2345 3 | 3 | [email protected] 1 | 45 | 123-456-7890 And: 'users' userID | name -------+------- 1 | joe 2 | jane 3 | jake I want to join them and have one row with two of the values like: 'profile_values' userID | name | email | phone -------+-------+----------------+-------------- 1 | joe | [email protected] | 203-234-2345 2 | jane | [email protected] | 123-456-7890 I have solved it but it feels clumsy and I want to know if there is a better way to do it. Meaning solutions that are either more readable or faster(optimized) or simply best-practice. Current solution: multiple tables selected, many conditional statements: SELECT u.userID AS memberid, u.name AS first_name, pv1.value AS fname, pv2.value as lname FROM users AS u, profile_values AS pv1, profile_values AS pv2, WHERE u.userID = pv1.userID AND pv1.fid = 3 AND u.userID = pv2.userID AND pv2.fid = 45; Thanks for the help!

  • Data sync solution?

    - by user321088
For some security issues I'm in an envorinment where third party apps can't access my DB. For this reason I should have some service/tool/script (dunno what yet... i'm open to the best option, still reading to see what I'm gonna do...) which enables me to generate on a regular basis(daily, weekly, monthly) some csv file with all new/modified records for a certain application. I should be able to automate this process and also export at any time a new file. So it should keep track for each application which records he still needs. Each application will need some data in some other format (csv/xls/sql), also some fields will be needed for some application and some aren't... It should be fairly flexible... What is the best option for me? Creating some custom tables for each application? Based on that extracting modified data?

  • Google Maps - user to pinpoint a location

    - by JohnB
Hi, Is it possible to allow users of my website to mark places on a map I display using Google Maps API? I need to then save that location coordinates to a db. I've been looking through the google maps API, I found that I can use the web service to do searches like this: http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=Maine,+United+States&output=json&oe=utf8\&sensor=false&key=my_key But I am not sure it's working on a house number level (which I need it to) and I'm not sure how to display a 'did you mean?' to the user when he misspells the address.. Anyone have an idea? Thanks,

  • Acquiring Table Lock in Database - Interview Question

    - by harigm
One of my interview Questions, if multiple users across the world are accessing the application, in which it uses a Table which has a Primary Key as Auto Increment Field. The Question how can you prevent the other user getting the Same Primary key when the other user is executing? My answer was I will obtain the Lock on the table and I will make the user to wait Until that user is released with the Primary key. But the Question How do you acquire the Table lock programmatically and implement this? If there are 1000 users coming every minute to the application, if you explicity hold the lock on the table, then the application will become slower? How do you manage this? Please suggest the possible answers for the above question

  • How do I redirect a page in php

    - by user225269
I'm having difficulties in the making the logout code for php to work. When I click on the logout button, it will go back to the home page, but when I click on the back button in the browser. I can still access the previous page, wherein the user must be logged on to access it. So I'm thinking of redirecting to the login page when the user clicks on the back button on the browser. • I need some help optimizing my database schema

    - by Steffan
Here's a layout of my data: Heading 1: Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Heading 2: Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Heading 3: Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Heading 4: Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Heading 5: Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading Sub heading These headings need to have a 'Completion Status' boolean value which gets linked to a user Id. Currently, this is how my table looks: id | userID | field_1 | field_2 | field_3 | field_4 | etc... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 1 | Each field represents one Sub Heading. Having this many columns in my table looks awfully inefficient... How can I go about optimizing this? I can't think of any way to neaten it up :/

  • cakePHP - ACL tutorial & SQL Error: 1104

    - by vector
Greetings! I run into a problem/bug in production environment with SQL Error: 1104 when deploying a project secured with the ACL tutorial. The full error: SQL Error: 1104: The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows; check your WHERE and use SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1 or SET SQL_MAX_JOIN_SIZE=# if the SELECT is okay [CORE/cake/libs/model/datasources/dbo_source.php, line 666] I've build a small site, worked through the ACL tutorial from the official cake book and locally everything is spiffy. dev. setup consists of: XAMPP: myslq 5.1.33, php 5.3 cakePHP 1.2.7 prod. setup: mysql 5.0.33 php 5.2.2 One of the differences I noticed with mysql setup between local and production servers, is that SQL_BIG_SELECTS is disabled on the production server ( and I don't have privileges to change that, posted a support ticked, didn't hear anything yet) Is there anything I can do about this from my end? Thanks in advance.

I have the following Tables: Players id playerName Weapons id type otherData Weapons2Player id playersID_reference weaponsID_reference That was nice and simple. Now I need to SELECT items from the Weapons table, according to some of their characteristics that i previously just packed into the otherData column (since it was only needed on the client side). The problem is, that the types have varying characteristics - but also a lot of similar data. So I'm trying to decide on the following possibilities, all of which have their pros and cons. Solution A Kill the Weapons table, and create a new table for each Weapon-Type: Weapons_Swords id bladeType damage otherData Weapons_Guns id accuracy damage ammoType otherData But how will i Link these to the Players ? create Weapons_Swords2Players, Weapons_Guns2Players for each weapon-type? (Will result in a lot more JOINS when loading the player with all his weapons...and it's also more complicated to insert a new player) or add another column to Weapons2Players called WeaponsTypeTable, then do sub-selects to the correct Weapons sub-table (seems easier, but not really right, slightly easier insert i guess) Solution B Keep the Weapons table, and add all the fields i need to it. The Problem is that then there will be NULL fields, since not all Weapon-Types use all fields (can't be right) Weapons id type accuracy damage ammoType bladeType otherData This seems to be pretty basic stuff, but i just can't decide what's best. Or is there a correct Solution C? many thanks.

  • Database schema for multiple category/product relationship

    - by sree01
I want to design a database for an e-commerce application with category/subcategory management. Please suggest a database schema where we can create categories and subcategories and add products to those categories. Each product can have multiple categories and we can select products belong to multiple categories using a boolean database query Thanks
