  Hi, I new in zend framework. I create zend project with zend tool and its works , but i create module and when i try access him with browser I get Error. I write my steps, please help me. • "Error in the Site Data Web Service." when performing crawl

  Installed SharePoint Services v3 (SP2, october 2009 cumulative updates, Language Pack), attached to a content database I had previously (all works). Installed Search server 2008 Express (with language pack) on top of WSS and crawl does not work. However it works for newly created web application + database. Was playing around with accounts, permissions to try get it working. Currently I have WSS_Crawler account with such permissions: Office Search Server runs with WSS_Crawler account Config database has read permissions for WSS_Crawler Content database has read permissions for WSS_Crawler WSS_Crawler is owner of search database. Added WSS_Crawler to SQL server browser user group and administrator Yes, i'v given more permissions than needed, but it doesn't even work with that and i don't know if its permission problem or what. Crawl log says there is Error in the Site Data Web Service., nothing more. There were known issues with a similar error: Error in the Site Data Web Service. (Value does not fall within the expected range.), but this is not the case as thats an old issue and i hope it has been included in SP2... Logs are from olders to newest (descending order). They don't appear to be very helpful. • Java Meta Search Engine API

  I'm currently researching Java libraries to help in building a meta type search engine in the sense of being able to replace any given search engine in the back-end of the application or to simultaneously search using multiple search engines. I'm not interested in the GUI part here, just the generalization of search engine APIs and usage. I'd like to know about the common libraries used to achieve this task and if there are any common patterns used in this case. I imagined that this problem is common enough to be able to find plenty of stuff on Google, but it seems like search is a very proprietary domain and not much information is fed back to the community.

  On my web site there is a (self-coded) search functionality that searches through the web site's specific contents. However I'd like to display one banner in addition to the site's results, showing ads relevant to the entered search terms. Can I do this e.g. with Google Ads? I want the ads to be based only on the search terms from the user, not the rest of the site's content, so there has to be a possibility to pass these search terms to the ad provider and get a banner based on these search terms.

I found that Google is displaying player code in search result content. For example, enter this URL in Google and check the results. Each result displays a .mp3 file in content section. I instantiate the Zend_Translate object in my bootstrap and pass it in as a translator into Zend_Navigation: $translate = new Zend_Translate( array('adapter' => 'tmx', 'content' => APPLICATION_PATH .'/languages/translation.tmx', 'locale' => 'es' ) ); $navigation->setUseTranslator($translate); I have used several different adapters (array,tmx) in order to see if that made a difference.   Hello, I'm using Hibernate Search (which uses Lucene) for searching some Data I have indexed in a directory. It works fine but I need to do a reverse search. By reverse search I mean that I have a list of queries stored in my database I need to check which one of these queries match with a Data object each time Data Object is created. I need it to alert the user when a Data Object matches with a Query he has created. So I need to index this single Data Object which has just been created and see which queries of my list has this object as a result. I've seen Lucene MemoryIndex Class to create an index in memory so I can do something like this example for every query in a list (though iterating in a Java list of queries would not be very efficient): //Iterating over my list<Query> MemoryIndex index = new MemoryIndex(); //Add all fields index.addField("myField", "myFieldData", analyzer); ... QueryParser parser = new QueryParser("myField", analyzer); float score = index.search(query); if (score > 0.0f) { System.out.println("it's a match"); } else { System.out.println("no match found"); } The problem here is that this Data Class has several Hibernate Search Annotations @Field,@IndexedEmbedded,... which indicated how fields should be indexed, so when I invoke index() method on the FullTextEntityManager instance it uses this information to index the object in the directory. Is there a similar way to index it in memory using this information? Is there a more efficient way of doing this reverse search? Thanks

  I've been trying to determine different parameters used by Google in their search queries. In particular, the usg parameter is what is giving me troubles. • Search Alternative Search Engines from within Bing’s Search Page

  So you love using Bing Search but may still be curious to see what another search engine will provide if used. Now you can search using another search engine from within the Bing Search page and enjoy numbered results using two simple user scripts. Note: These user scripts may also be added to other browsers as well (i.e. Iron, Opera, etc.). Before Bing Search does nicely on searches but what if you would like to try the same search with another search engine? Having to manually open a new tab, navigate to the appropriate website, and then start a new search is not too convenient. Another possible frustration for some people may be knowing just how many search results that they have looked through. Well, both of these small problems are easy to fix with two wonderful user scripts. Installing the Scripts The first script that we installed (you may do either one first) was for adding alternative search engine links. Click “Install” to get started… Note: For our example we had the Greasemonkey extension installed. When the confirmation window pops up click on “Install” to finish adding the user script to Firefox. Repeating the same procedure as above add your second script to Firefox. Confirm the second user script installation and you are ready to enjoy nicer Bing Search results. After As you can see there are two small unobtrusive differences in our search results. The alternative search engine links are conveniently located at the top of the page and now you can easily know just how many search results that you have looked through. The results when we decided to try the search in a transfer over to Yahoo. Our search transferred to Ask Search. The alternative search links can be very helpful if Bing is not providing the kind of search results that you are hoping for. Still going very nicely past the 100 mark… Conclusion If you have been wanting a small booster to searching with Bing then these two scripts will get you on your way. Using Opera Browser?   I have a bunch of int key fields in my index and trying to do a simple range search like this: `gender:1 AND height:[120 TO 180]` This should give me male in the height range 120 to 180. But for some reason i get this exception: `At least one range query boundary term must be non-empty term` How would i debug this? Is it just Zend_Search_Lucene being buggy?

• Lucene - querying with long strings

  I have an index, with a field "Affiliation", some example values are: "Stanford University School of Medicine, Palo Alto, CA USA", "Institute of Neurobiology, School of Medicine, Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA", "School of Medicine, Harvard University, Boston MA", "Brigham & Women's, Harvard University School of Medicine, Boston, MA" "Harvard University, Cambridge MA" and so on... (the bottom-line being the affiliations are written in multiple ways with no apparent consistency) I query the index on the affiliation field using say "School of Medicine, Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA" (with QueryParser) to find all Stanford related documents, I get a lot of false +ves, presumably because of the presence of School of Medicine etc. etc. (note: I cannot use Phrase query because of variability in the way affiliation is constructed) I have tried the following: Use a SpanNearQuery by splitting the search phrase with a whitespace (here I get no results!) Tried boosting (using ^) by splitting with the comma and boosting the last parts such as "Palo Alto CA" with a much higher boost than the initial phrases. Here I still get lots of false +ves. Any suggestions on how to approach this? If SpanNearQuery the way to go, Any ideas on why I get 0 results?

• Lucene search taking TOOO long.

  I;m using Lucene.net (2.9.2.2) on a (currently) 70Gig index.. I can do a fairly complicated search and get all the document IDs back in 1 ~ 2 seconds.. But to actually load up all the hits (about 700 thousand in my test queries) takes 5+ minutes. We aren't using lucene for UI, this is a datastore between processes where we have hundreds of millions of pre-cached data elements, and the part I am working on exports a few specific fields from each found document. (ergo, pagination doesn't make since as this is an export between processes). My question is what is the best way to get all of the documents in a search result? currently I am using a custom collector that does a get on the document (with a MapFieldSelector) as its collecting.. I've also tried iterating through the list after the collector has finished.. but that was even worse. I'm open to ideas :-). Thanks in advance.

• How to call a Zend lucene search function?

  I inherited a Zend project devoid of comments and I didn't get to talk to the previous developer. Since I have no Zend experience I'm having some issues :) I'd like to print out some variables inside an function that indexes items from the site using Zend_Search_Lucene because I think something is going wrong here. From what I've read, ::create creates a new index and ::open updates it. So it's in this ::open function I'd like to print out some variables. The name and params of the function are below. Does anyone have any idea how this function can be called so I can run some tests? private function search($category,$string,$page = 1,$itemsByPage = 5) EDIT: OR, is there a way I can nuke the existing index and force it to be rebuilt completely, for example by deleting the index files on the FS and then performing some searches?
