• "Error encountered while BER decoding" in Adobe Acrobat Pro X when applying timestamp

  I have a tedious problem with Acrobat Pro X 10.1.3.23: when I want to apply a timestamp to a document I always get that error. I have configured VeriSign TSA server http://timestamp.verisign.com/scripts/timstamp.dll and it returns that error. I have tried Comodo CA http://timestamp.comodoca.com/authenticode and Aruba https://servizi.arubapec.it/tsa/ngrequest.php but all three returned the same exact error. My PDFs are now signed without a certified timestamp and this is a problem for me. I'm obliged to sign documents and apply a certified timestamp at the same time. This seems to be a common error in Acrobat, but I found no solution to it. Can somebody help me?

• Outlook 2007 unable to connect to exchange server

  I came into the office a week ago and outlook has refused to connect ever since, it just says "Disconnected" in the bottom right-hand corner. I've tried restarting it, rebooting Windows etc. I'm the only one if our office who is having this problem, so it's not a general problem with the server. Things I've tried Pinging the server via IP address and host name, both work fine Connecting via OWA, this works using the same machine name Connecting to Exchange via HTTP ("Outlook Anywhere") doesn't work None of the suggestions in this question helped, http://serverfault.com/questions/21755/can-ping-exchange-server-cant-connect-outlook-to-it Disabling Windows firewall on my laptop also has no effect. There are no items in the event viewer that indicate that anything it up. Also no permissions have changed on the server since when it worked. What else can I do to diagnose this, any suggestions?

• Windows Task Scheduler broken: "service is not available"

  Problem I'm trying to run Windows Task Scheduler from the start menu (the command is %SystemRoot%\system32\taskschd.msc /s) but as of very recently, I'm getting an error: ![Task Scheduler service is not available. Verify that the service is running.][1] I made some screenshots but I can't embed them unfortunately because I don't have enough reputation points yet: http://i.imgur.com/7rPXf.png and Mmddy.png and wonnF.png The window then opens as usual except no tasks are displayed and the error "Reading Data Failed" is shown on a few of the panels. ![second screenshot][2] Possible Causes ran rpccfg -a 1 and netsh rpc add 127.0.0.1 changed PC name twice while computer was still loading installed and used DeltaCopy installed Adobe AIR installed Warsow I can't think of any other system changes I've made. Things Tried ran rpccfg with the parameter to reset to defaults ran netsh with the parameter to reset to defaults uninstalled DeltaCopy forced the service to restart. The service and its dependencies appear started and looked normal before and after connecting to "another computer" from inside the program and entering credentials for the current machine. This said access denied yesterday but today it says "Connecting as another user is only supported when connecting to a computer running Windows Vista™ or later." and partially works but doesn't show my tasks. ![third screenshot][3] but I am on Vista! Please help!

  [From stackoverflow] Im trying to find a way to speedup my inserts to a DB2 9.7.1 (ubuntu linux) Im watching vmstat and trying to gather some statistics via the db2 get snapshot commands but im not able to figure out which numbers im looking for to be able to see where the trouble is. For example: What is the metric called that shows me that it is buffer pages allocation (FSCR stuff) that is the problem Where do I see that the insert time is hampered by clustered indexes? I find db2top very useful but im still searching for more direct view of "this is your bottleneck" methods

I want to configure this to point to http://www.my.mydomain.com I have created DNS record and configured "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx". and domain name my.mydomain.com Problem is that my.mydomain.com is accessible through only my.mydomain.com or through http://my.mydomain.com only. i want that it should also be accessible through www.my.mydomain.com Someone told me that i should have to create CNAME and A record for this domain. i have following Zone Record Configurations but this is not working. Please help me what i am doing wrong and what exactly should be CNAME and A configuration to work it with www.my.mydomain.com

  I want to set both the script and the "Use automatic configuration script" checkbox in Windows 7 using a script that immediately affects anything using wininet.dll (Internet Explorer, Chrome, .NET apps, etc). I've done a before/after registry diff, and tried doing this through the registry, but things like the reg files below require the apps to be restarted. Chaning the settings by pressing the "LAN Settings" button through this Control panel shortcut has immediate affect: %windir%\system32\control.exe Inetcpl.cpl,,4 How can I script this immediate effect? • Tomcat6 Manager Webapp is 404 on apt-get install on Ubuntu 10.10

  http://localhost:8080/manager/html gives a 404 error on apt-get install of tomcat6 (6.0.28 on JVM 1.6.0_20-b20 on 2.6.35-27-generic amd64). http://localhost:8080/host-manager/html works. • Rewrite rules doesn’t work apache 1.3

  I'm using a couple of rewrite directives that always works before on apache2 but now i'm trying new a shared hosting and the rewrite rules do not seem to get applied. I've reduced the .htaccess files to the following essential rules: RewriteEngine On Rewritebase /demo/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L] As you can see, i want to rewrite every request to my index.php file in the demo folder from root. So everything like http://www.example.com/demo/albums/show/1 should be processed by http://www.example.com/demo/index.php for a standard MVC setup. (I'm using CodeIgniter btw) The directives above results in a 500 error, so i thought maybe because of some possible syntax differences between 1.3 and 2.x. After some trail and error editing, i've found the rewrite rule itself to be at fault but i really don't understand why. Any ideas to why my rewrite rule doesn't work? it did before on lots of different servers. Suggestions how to fix it? Note: mod_rewrite does work, i've written a small test to be sure

• RAID 5 RECONSTRUCT with RAID Reconstructor

  I have Dell Poweredge server 2600 with Raid 5 in 3 hard drive Scsi 36gb each, it was fail to boot sinc the third drive is offline. I attached Sata card adapter to Sata hard drive and install OS SERVER 2003 to it, downloaded drivers for Raid and everything goes fine when I use recovery data software called "GetDataBack" from here http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm but the problem that not all data recovered, I am still looking for importants data with about 5 GB size. I have another software called "RAID Reconstructor" from "http://www.runtime.org/raid.htm" I thought if I run it to reconstruct that will help to recover more data and put the third drive to be Online but I am afraid that might erase the current data in the other drives. Please I need your advise in how I could retrive the remaining data? Thanks

  I have a Ubuntu server running in an ESV VM emvironment and I've installed a webserver with this configuration: Nginx 1.0.5 PHP 5.3.6 with PHP-FMP Mysql 5.1.62 I have an installation of latest version of joomla on this server and when I try to upload an install package (zip file containing joomla's extension files) I get "502 Bad Gateway" with the following error in nginx log file: 2012/05/13 11:22:21 [error] 19911#0: *20 upstream sent invalid status "-1 Copy failed" while reading response header from upstream, client: 10.10.56.70, server: localhost, request: "POST /administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=install HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9000", host: "radio.xx.xx", referrer: "http://radio.xx.xx/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer" I've searched all over the internet and I've changed too many parameters of php configuration, fpm config and nginx config including increasing execution times and etc but my problem still remains. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with my Joomla and problem is in webserver but there's no usable log messages, except above message. Can anyone help me with this problem?

  Firstly, my machines aren't compromised any person suggesting such will be DV'd. The security logs on some of my networks client machines (all Windows Xp Sp3) get filled with these useless error messages. Name: - Path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe Process identifier: 976 User account: NETWORK SERVICE User domain: NT AUTHORITY Service: Yes RPC server: No IP version: IPv4 IP protocol: UDP Port number: 55035 Allowed: No User notified: No It's always on various random ports of UDP so setting up a port exception isn't really an option. It's always from svchost or lsass both of which are running services from DLLs. One of the most offending processes seems to the be DnsCache. I have in my global policy under AT < Network < Network Connection < Widnows Firewall < Domain Profile (I haven't changed any standard profile options do both need configured? To allow remote administration and desktop exceptions and have a custom program exception list that has %SystemRoot%\system32\svchost.exe:*:enabled:svchost (Windows won't allow you to add this exception on a local machine but it let me have it on here in the global policy it just doesn't seem to do anything) %SystemRoot%\system32\lsass.exe:*enabled:lsass (I think this one ended all of my LSASS messages) %SystemRoot%\system32\dnsrslvr.dll:*:enabled:dnscache (I tried adding the dll itself to the exception list, this didn't seem to do anything) Is there really any other options left other than disabling the Windows Firewall entirely, disabling auditing entirely or just changing the event viewer to just auto overwrite when needed? I'd much rather fix the problem and get rid of these entries ever being created instead of just trying to cover up the problem.

  I have an IIS7.5 (Server 2008 R2) based web service that I would like to make as independant on the current implementations technology as possible. I am using the URL rewrite module (http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/734/url-rewrite-module/) to remove the .asmx portion of the URL and that is working fine for the HTTP request portion. However, I still see .asmx in the WSDL file when I access it. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if so, what advice could be offered. It doesn't seem like a hard problem to solve. But I have tries a number of things with "custom tags" and can't seem to get it working to save my life.

My question is simple, is there a way using a tool like Puppet to do it without a painful learning curve? (or via other tools like http://ylastic.com) If yes, how?

  I set up BACS (Broadcom Teaming) to team two NIC on a Windows 2003 Active Directory Domain Controller. Networking still works okay, I can ping the gateway etc, but both DNS and Active Directory fail to start with various 40xx errors. The team that I created is Smart load Balancing with Failover, with one backup and only one in smart load balancing (So really it is just failover). I have the team the same IP address that the single active NIC had before. Anyone seen this before, or have any ideas what the problem might be? I did enable to SNMP service at DD-WRT router page. And also created a host at Zabbix with included DD-WRT template. After I done it I still unable to get any connection/information at Zabbix which mean the router doesn't communicate with Zabbix. • Lighttpd 403 Errors on HTML and PHP pages

  I installed lighttpd on CentOS 5.5 64-bit. Everything seems fine and running except I cannot get past 403 errors on both HTML and PHP pages. I have used CHMOD and CHOWN, changed ownership in the config file, done everything possible and have been stuck for 2 days. Appreciate any help, and here's hoping to a stupid error on my part. • High Tq values for HAProxy

  I just took over administration of a new environment. A known issue is that the environment is known for high response times (20+ seconds), so I figured I'd turn on haproxy logging and see what is going on. I figured I'd see slow load times in the app servers, but I'm actually seeing high Tq values in HAProxy. The HAProxy is on EC2 and is NOT behind ELB. Not all the Tq's are high (1+ seconds), but a good percentage of them are (approx 35%). Normally when I see this behavior, I'd expect there to be network issues, but this is an incredibly high percentage of visitors to be having an issue like this, so I'm wondering if anybody has seen this or have any hints on diagnosing if the issue could possibly be on this box?

During the start-up procedure, after a recent forced reboot, my Linux machine (RHEL 6.2) hangs right after successfully starting virt-who. I can use login screens (Alt + F2/F3...) in text mode. I am clueless -- how can I find out what is the next step in the startup sequence? That step is most likely what is causing it to hang. • Upgrade OpenSSL 0.9.8k to OpenSSL 1.0.1c on Ubuntu 10.04

  We're currently using Ubuntu 10.04 and based on the PCI Compliance results, we're told to upgrade our OpenSSL. I attempted to do this using this reference: http://sandilands.info/sgordon/upgrade-latest-version-openssl-on-ubuntu and http://www.lunarforums.com/dedicated_web_hosting_at_lunarpages/upgrading_openssl-t35015.0.html Unfortunately, they didn't work for me. And when I attempted to remove the old version prior to installation, it looks like it broke a few thins in the system. The article from Steve Gordon seemed like it would work for me, but when I ran the openssl version command, it still read that it was the old version. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I should do. Fix: After following the steps from Steven Gordon, make sure you restart apache and / or restart your computer (I did both, but I'm sure a simple restart will fix it right up).

  So, I'm a bit of an IIS7 n00b but I've used most of the old IIS systems going back to 3. I'm trying to turn on dynamic compression and it's working, mostly. It doesn't work for my ADO.Net Data Service (Astoria) requests, batched or not. I found the freb tracing which was really helpful. And what I come up with unbatched requests is that it returns Reason Code 12, NO_MATCHING_CONTENT_TYPE. OK, so I don't have the matching mime type specified, that's easy. • Using nginx + wordpress with all wordpress files in a subdirectory

  My setup I am running nginx 0.7.67 on Debian Lenny as a webserver, not as a reverse proxy. I am using php5-fpm to handle my PHP requests, which works fine. My aim I would like to have a wordpress installation that is layed out as described here clean wordpress subversion installation. I would like to have a clean wordpress installation without cluttering my server root directory with all the wordpress files. That means that my wordpress installation would be in /wordpress and my themes and plugins inside /wordpress-content. The important point however is that if you navigate to my domain www.example.com then you would be taken directly to the wordpress blog, without having to specify the subdirectory where wordpress lives. I found a how-to at the nginx site installing wordpress but unfortunately this is for moving the entire wordpress directory instead of redirecting the traffic to it. • Windows XP update not working

  I have a problem with XP updating. It hangs when I try to search for updates on the website. But the automatic updates still work. And it's running IE6, so I'm trying to update to IE8, hoping that will fix the problems with the website. But when installing IE8 it just hangs at Installing Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP And if I try to install it manually, it hangs when installing the updates for IE8.
