• created pub/priv keys using putty, created .ssh folder and authorized_keys, still not working

  created public/private keys using puttygen on my computer. put the public key in the .ssh/authorized_keys folder on the server setup pageant.exe to use the pk on my computer. when I run pageant, and connecting using putty it still asks me for my password. what am I missing? I did do a: chmod 700 on .ssh folder chmod 600 on authorized_keys file thanks!

  Hi Guys, I have tried to install memcached in MAMP - Snow Leopard 10.6.2 using this tutorial: Setup a Memcached-Enabled MAMP Sandbox Environment I finished with no errors the first to the last step: Bonus Section: Start and Stop Memcache with MAMP After that I restarted my MAMP widget in the dashboard and checked by phpinfo but the memcached extension is not there. Do you guys successfully installed memcached in your MAMP or do you know any other way on how to make it work? Thanks in advance :)

  Will Linux / UNIX / OS X binaries be stored in the same directories across different platform or distributions? I'm asking because I need to have access to uuidgen (stored in /usr/bin/uuidgen on my development computer) and noticed that my local Apache server does not include /usr/bin in the PATH. I know I could add /usr/bin to the path, but I want to make sure the software can be re-deployed on a number of different systems with ease. Thanks!

I was told that for biztalk, logshipping is not like standard logshipping.   I'm using Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista and 7 for cross realm authentication using MIT Kerberos 1.6 but when i try to login with a user the KDC answers: (wireshark output) error_code: KRB5KDC_ERR_ETYPE_NOSUPP (14) ... e-text: BAD_ENCRYPTION_TYPE I want to know how can I change the encryption type method to be compatible with the KDC (i tried a XP client and it worked fine).   Protocol: SFTP (port 22) I've tested CuteFtp, FileZilla, SecureCRT and several others. Looks like CuteFTP has the best throughput, usually 200%-400% than others. I've read something about SecureFtp may have slower rate from here. Can anyone explain why CuteFtp has better throughput? And, is there any other FTP client even faster than CuteFtp? Thanks a lot!

• Windows 7 Sysprep unattended doesn't work!

  Hi all, I have a Windows 7 machine that I have run Sysprep on using the following command Sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:c:\sysprep.xml When the PC shutsdown I upload it to my Windows Deployment Server (2008 R2), when I turn the PC back on the unattended install works fine, if I download the image from the deployment server it ignores the unattended install and I get prompted for all the settings.   When I google for certain questions, or problems I run into I would sometimes run into 'archive' sites - these sites contain forum questions or information from other sites that are extremely poorly formatted, and are copies of the well formatted original posts from various forums. An example of one of those sites in mail-archive.com and various similar sites. Can anybody explain to me why those sites exist and how come they don't get banned from Google (since all they have is copied content that is really poorly formatted by bots)? Thanks!

• convert mp4 to flv. Adobe Medio Encoder Failing.

  Hi, I am trying to encode a .mp4 to a .flv I've tried using the Adobe Media Encoder but the video is lost in the conversion process, leaving me a black screen and some audio. I have yet to find something that can do this successfully for free. I found ffmpeg, which looks promising... but I can't figure out how to get it to work. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. -Thanks.
